Arrests:

1:29am       2200 Blk San Jose                  Resisting

Officer Almaguer and several other Ingleside officers responded to a trespassing call on a MUNI LRV.  The officer made contact with the reportee who hi, that the LRV was stopped because of a male subject refusing to get off the LRV thus rendering it out of service.  The officer could smell that the suspect had been drinking and was intoxicated. So the officer escorted the suspect off the LRV. Because of the state of intoxication, the officer held on to the suspects’ jacket and arm so he would not fall. The suspect began to yell and fight with the officer causing the other officers there to assist to take him to the ground and handcuff him.  The suspect continued to flail his body around as he was on the ground causing scratches and cuts to his face. The officers ordered an ambulance to check on the self inflicted cuts. The ambulance crew determined that the suspect needed to go to the hospital for further evaluation. The suspect was cited for resisting arrest and will appear in court. Report Number 120150668

Officers Altamirano and Thompson were on patrol when they observed a male driving while talking on his cellular phone.  The officers pulled the car over to issue a citation to the driver for the violation. The driver told the officers that he did not have a California Driver’s License but that his Texas Driver’s License was in his backpack in the trunk.  Officer Altamirano instructed the driver to get his license from the trunk. As the driver looked inside a backpack, a clear plastic bag with marijuana fell out! Since the driver did not have a medical marijuana card he was cited for the traffic violation and possession of the marijuana.  Report number 120148550

7:26pm       Monterey/Circular        False Registration

Officers Peregrina and Hom were on patrol when a car driving erratically drew their attention.  A DMV record check of the license plate returned with expired registration yet the tabs on the vehicle showed the registration to be current.  The officers effected a traffic stop and the driver was unable to provide any form of identification.  He provided the officers with his name and a record check revealed he was on parole, had an active no bail warrant and no current license. 

 The officers confirmed the suspect’s identity through the SFPD Mug Shot System at Ingleside station and were able to confirm the warrant. The suspect was booked for the false tabs and the warrant.  Report Number 120150226 This is the ****Best Arrest of the Day****

A victim responded to Ingleside Station to report a battery.  She told PSA Flynn that she had an argument with one of her roommates and that he began yelling and threatening her.  He then pushed her and she fell on the floor.  The victim had no visible injuries and refused medical assistance.  She wanted the incident documented because she said that she was afraid of her roommate.  She was provided with follow up information.  Report Number 120138567

A victim responded to Ingleside station and told PSA Cato that he parked and secured his vehicle and when he returned found several items missing.  He was unable to locate any sign of forced entry to the vehicle and was unable to provide any further information.  He was provided with follow up information.  Report Number 120149649

10:00am     Unit Blk Santos            Burglary

Officer Peregoy and several other Ingleside officers were dispatched to a possible burglary in progress. Dispatch advised that a witness had called in regarding several subjects entering several apartments with items in their hands.  They responded to the premises in question and observed several suspects exiting the home. The suspects had several items in their hands, as was dispatched, which they threw and began running from the officers. The officers were able to catch up to a few of them and take them into custody. Several witnesses were interviewed who wish to remain anonymous. The residents of the home responded to the scene and observed several items missing from the premises. They were able to identify the items that were thrown by the suspects as belonging to them. The officers took pictures of the items and collected them as evidence. They provided the victims with a property receipt.

The officers contacted SFPD’s Crime Scene Investigations who advised that they would be responding to the scene to collect evidence. A record check of one of the suspects showed him to be on active parole.  His parole officer authorized a parole hold. He was booked into custody for the burglary and for the parole violation. The officers searched the areas for firearms and other discarded items, to no avail. All victims were provided with follow up information. Officers took pictures of the damage to the apartments and booked them into evidence. Report Number 120144962

A victim responded to Ingleside Station and told PSA Cato that she left her personal items in her office for a short time.  When she returned to the office she found several items were missing. She was unable to provide any information on the suspect. She was contacted by her bank regarding various charges on her Visa card which she did not authorize. The bank requested she file a police report and she was provided a follow up information.  Report Number 120149150

Officer Phillips responded to a theft call. The victim told him that she left for work and when she returned she found several items missing. She did not see anyone take the items and told the officers that she has three other roommates. The roommates were unavailable to be interviewed and the victim was provided with follow up information. Report Number 120148168

A victim came to Ingleside Station and told PSA Heckenberg that she received a letter regarding money owed which she was unaware off.  The letter had a correct name but an out of county address. 4:12pm  Sunrise/Sawyer    Obstructing Officer
Officer Hart, Johnson and Obot were on patrol when they noticed a subject trying to hide from them. The officers approached the suspect and asked for his name. the suspect looked at the officers then turned and began running away from them. the officers know from past experience that suspects from this area will run when they are wanted on a warrant. The suspect had no idea that our officers also happen to be star basketball players for the station and are in fantastic shape. Needless to say, the suspect was caught a very short distance away out of breath. The officers cuffed the suspect and conducted a warrant check only to discover that the suspect had two (2) NO BAIL warrants for drugs and theft! The suspect was transported and booked at Ingleside Station. Report number 120112737 This is ***The Best Arrest of the Day***

Officers Almaguer and Hauscarriague always review the wanted bulletins to see who is wanted in the Ingleside district. After line up the officer set out to patrol and keep an eye out for wanted suspects. The officers drove around and answered calls for service, when they saw a suspect that was wanted on a $200,000 warrant. The officers were able to quickly apprehend the suspect and arrest him without him knowing what happened. Another criminal is taken off the streets in the Ingleside district by our dedicated officers! Report number 180361747

Police Services Aide Heckenberg-Tognozzi prepared a report regarding a theft from a locked auto. The victim told the PSA that he parked and locked his car only to discover that an unknown suspect had punched the lock mechanism from the door to gain entry. The victim did not report any loss, but that this was the second time this has happened. Report number 120111400

Officer Giannini prepared a report regarding a court order violation. The victim told the officer that the suspect has been in violation of the court order since December of last year. The victim told the officer that all the attempts to communicate with the suspect have gone unanswered. Report number 120111438

Officers Dilag and Khan were sent to investigate a robbery case. The victim told the officers that she was walking along when she noticed a suspect passes her. The victim told the officers that the Suspect turned and ran towards her and grabbed her purse. The victim lost her balance and fell to the pavement. The suspect fled with the purse. The area was searched for the suspect with negative results. A witness told officer that there were two suspects. The victim was not injured in the robbery. Report number 120113177

Officers Gabriel and Apodaca responded to investigate a burglary case. The victim told the officers that while at home she heard a window break downstairs. The victim said that she went to investigate and saw a broken window and a hand attempting to unlock the door. The victim said that she turned the light on and saw a suspect outside the window with something covering his face. The suspect fled when the light came on. Ingleside Officers searched the area but –did not locate any suspects. There was no loss. Report number 120113741

Officers Chew and Naval were dispatched to an assault report. The victim informed the officers that an unknown suspect had assaulted him the night before. The victim gave a brief description of the suspect and informed the officers the suspect was still inside the residence. The suspect was located and detained then the victim positively identified him as the person who had assaulted him. The suspect was arrested and transported to Ingleside Station where he was booked for the assault. Officer Naval took several photographs as evidence and booked them at Ingleside Station. Police Services Aide Cato was on duty at Ingleside Station when a victim came in to report a burglary. The victim stated a known suspect had broken into her residence and removed several items from her home. The victim stated she had spoken with the suspect over the phone and the suspect confirmed she and a friend had stolen the items. The victim informed the PSA that she was unsure if the address she had for the suspect was correct. The victim requested a report for documentation purposes.  Report Number 120041459

Police Services Aide Zabarte was on duty at Ingleside Station when a victim came in to file a report of battery. The victim stated she was at home when she heard the doorbell ring. Upon opening the door, the victim was pushed to the ground and the suspect began slamming her head against the floor. The victim stated she called for her boyfriend to help and the suspect left. The victim informed the PSA she had been suffering from neck pain but refused medical assistance.  She was provided with follow up information. Officers canvassed the area for the suspect to no avail.  Report Number 120043358

Officer Lustenberger was dispatched to a report of a vandalism. The victim informed the officer that an unknown suspect had driven away with the gas pump still attached to their car, causing it to rip off. The victim informed the officer that the surveillance cameras may have captured the license plate and picture of the driver and she would make the tape available at a later time.  Report Number 120041506

Police Services Aide Zabarte was on duty at Ingleside Station when a victim came to file a report of a theft. The victim stated he had parked his vehicle and upon returning he discovered his catalytic converter had been stolen. The victim informed PSA that he did not notice any other damage to his vehicle and there were no witnesses.  Report Number 120043217

5:49pm       1400 Blk Geneva          Assault

Officers Burke and Carrasco responded to a report of a stabbing incident. The victim informed the officers that he had just been stabbed by an unknown suspect. The officers immediately issued first aid to the victim and summoned an ambulance to the scene. The victim stated two suspects approached him and stole two duffle bags. The victim stated he chased the suspects when one attacked him. He said he did not believe he could recognize the suspects if he saw them again.  Several officers canvassed the area for witnesses and evidence with negative results.  The victim was transported to the hospital for further medical treatment for non life threatening injuries.  The officers took pictures of the scene and the victim’s injuries and booked them into evidence at Ingleside station.  Report Number 120041647

Arrests:

2:15pm       Unit blk Ocean             Aggravated Assault

Several Officers were dispatched to investigate an assault with reported gun shots fired. The Officers meet with a witness who watched the whole incident from her upstairs window. The witness stated that she observed a Hispanic male and a black male arguing on the street. The black male was standing just outside of what appeared to be his van. The black male then grabbed the Hispanic man’s gold chain and took off running. The Hispanic man then pulled out a silver pistol and fired three shots towards the black man.

The Officers then made contact with the girlfriend of the Hispanic male suspect who was in the van during the occurrence. She told the Officers that the shots were fired from the friend of the black male who was located further down the street. After the shots were fired her boyfriend got back into the van and took off after the black males that had entered a vehicle and drove away. She then told her boyfriend to let her out. Officers were able to detain three male suspects in a vehicle and the Hispanic male’s girlfriend was able to identify the vehicle as the one used in the incident. She was also able to identify one of the male suspects as being involved in the incident and he was arrested. She could not identify the other male suspects and they were released. 3:35pm       3300 Blk Mission           Petty Theft

Officers Chew and Naval were dispatched to investigate a shoplifter at a local business. When the Officers arrived they meet with the stores security guard. The security guard witnessed the suspect putting boxed of Advil and Motrin into his backpack and then attempted to walk out without paying. The security then stopped the suspect, identified himself, and brought him into the back room. The security guard signed a citizen’s arrest for the suspect and he was transported to Ingleside Station. Report number 120023601

8:48pm       200 blk Silver                Suspended License

During a routine traffic stop for having non-working headlights Officers Kerlegan and Peregrina asked the driver for his license. The suspect could not produce a license but stated that he had a valid one. When Officers checked this information they found that not only was his license suspended since 2010 but he also had an active outstanding warrant. The suspect was arrested and transported to Ingleside Station and his vehicle was towed. Report number 120024449

10:57pm     4700 blk Mission          Drunk in Public

Officers Benavidez and Jones were dispatched to control a man that was reportedly harassing people on the street. As the Officers approached the scene that saw a man walking down the middle of the street towards traffic. The Officers yelled at the suspect and told him to get on the sidewalk. The Officers were told by a bartender that the suspect was harassing people at his place of business and was extremely intoxicated. The suspect also threw a glass ashtray into the middle of the street. The Officers then detained the suspect and had to sit him down because he was so intoxicated that he could not stand up on his own. The Officers ran a warrant check on the suspect and discovered that he had six outstanding warrants. The suspect was arrested and transported and booked at Ingleside Station. Officers Contreras and Hermosura were dispatched to an assault call. When they arrived they meet with a male and female victim. The female victim told officers that she had a restraining order on a man she had just recently meet. The suspect discovered where she was staying and entered the residence. The suspect then entered the room that the two victims were sleeping and demanded that the female victim come home with him. The male victim then chased the suspect out of the house. However, when the suspect left out the front door he slammed it into the victims head. An ambulance was called for victim because he suffered a large gash but denied transport to the hospital. The Officers then proceeded to search for the suspect with negative results. Report number 120021990

PSA Zabarte was working at Ingleside Station and meet with the victim of battery crime. The victim told the PSA that her sister pushed her and that caused her to fall down. The result of the push caused her right leg to swell. The swelling got worse the next day and a doctor advised her to wear a brace. Report number 120023093

Officer Sanchez was dispatched to investigate threats that were made to a female suspect. The victim told the Officer that she and the suspect got into a verbal argument and the suspect made several threats to cause severe harm to her. The suspect has made several threats to the victim in the past and often harasses her while she is at work. The victim has applied for restraining orders against the suspect but none have officially been filed. Report number 120022722

Officers Chew and Naval were dispatched to investigate stolen property. The Officers were told by the victim that while he went to the bathroom in a bar his jacket was stolen from the stool where he left it. The victim had no idea who stole it and there were no witnesses or video cameras. Report number 120023930

Officers Campos and Lustenberger were dispatched to investigate a vandalism call. The victim of a residence told the Officers that while she was in the back room of her house she heard a loud crash coming from the front of her house. She then noticed that her front door had been broken. Nothing else appeared to be out of place and she did not see any suspects. There were no other witnesses. Report number 120024314

Officers Park and Chang were dispatched to investigate the vandalism of a vehicle. The victim told Officers that she was driving down the street when a Hispanic male ran up and kicked the side of her vehicle. She then got out and began yelling at the suspect when two other suspects began kicking her car. She yelled at all of the suspects and said she was calling the police and all three suspects fled. The Officers searched the area for the suspects with negative results. Report number 120024455

PSA Zabarte meet with the victim of vandalism while on station duty at Ingleside Station. The victim stated that when he returned to his vehicle he noticed that there sere scratches covering both driver and passenger side doors, both side panels, and the hood of his vehicle. The victim had no idea who would vandalize his vehicle and did not have any suspect of witness information. Report number 120022807

9:20am       3100 blk Mission          Threats Arrest

SFCCDPD Officers Smith Chang and Hadi had information regarding a suspect that had threatened to shoot a school official. The officers went on patrol and shortly thereafter received a dispatch regarding a disturbance at the student services office. When the officers arrived they saw that the wanted suspect was there. The officers were able to take the suspect into custody without incident. The suspect was taken to Ingleside Station where he was booked. Report number 111001545

3:41pm       900 blk Geneva             Battery on a Police Officer

Officer Gomez was parked in an unmarked patrol vehicle in uniform when 3 suspects approached the car by the passenger window. The main suspect asked the officer why he had arrested one of his friends. The officer told the suspect that he was not the one who arrested his friend and that he had only responded to assist. The suspect became belligerent and started to challenge the officer. The suspect then stood in the middle of the street Mission and Geneva and blocked traffic while yelling expletives to the officer. The officer walked over and asked the suspects to get out of the street and was met with more insults. The officer then tried to move the suspect to the sidewalk. The suspect began to flail his arms and attempted to head butt the officer. Other Ingleside officers responded to assist. The officer had to take the suspect to the ground all the time the suspect was fighting. The suspect was finally subdued and arrested. Report number 120012886

Officers Pereira and Archilla were sent to investigate a burglary case. The victim told the officers that an unknown suspect entered his room and cut his bedding with a sharp object. Officer LaRocca was sent to investigate a vandalism case. The victim told the officer that a known suspect broke her window because of a fight. The victim gave the information to the officer. Report number 120009429

4:21pm       San Jose/Santa Rosa    Traffic Violation

While Officers Lim and Conceicao were on patrol they noticed a man and a woman that were believed to be suspects in a burglary. The Officers stopped and detained the suspects and proceeded to question them. After the Officers conducted a record check, they discovered that both suspects had a suspended license and their vehicle that they were standing next to had false registration tags. The suspects admitted driving their vehicle from their house and parking it on San Jose Ave. Officers then placed both suspect under arrest and then issued them citations for driving with a suspended license, parking in a red zone, and false vehicle registration tags. Both suspects now have a date to appear in court! The vehicle was towed. Report number 120002075

Officer Lundy was dispatched to a gas station regarding damaged property. The Officer was told by an employee that after a customer made several attempts to pump his gas without success he became very angry at him. The suspect then began yelling at the victim and fled when the victim told him he was calling the police. As the suspect drove away he did not remove the gas nozzle from his vehicle and severely damaged the gas pump. The suspect was believed to be under the influence of alcohol. Report number 120000110

2:00am       Mission/Lowell              Aggravated Assault

Officers Lozano and McCall were dispatched to a call regarding an assault. When the Officers arrived three Daily City Police units were already on scene. The victim was lying on his back and was not able to provide officers with any information because he was slipping in and out of consciousness. The suspect was transported to the hospital and was later able to inform the Officers that he was jumped by two Hispanic males and hit in the back of the head with an unknown object. Officers searched the area for suspects and witnesses but the search was negative. Report number 120000609

3:05am       Mission/Excelsior          Robbery

Officer Lundy was dispatched to a strong arm robbery call. The Officer met with the victim and was told that after exiting the MUNI bus she was approached by four black males. One of them pushed her from behind and the other grabbed her Iphone from her back pocket. The suspects then fled the scene. A witness that saw the four suspects fleeing the scene was unable to provide Officers with descriptions or any other information. Report number 120000615

 

6:30pm       200 blk Seneca              Malicious Mischief

Officers Shugars and Paras were dispatched to investigate car vandalism. The Officers were informed by the victim that she was inside her residence and heard a loud noise outside. The victim then left her residence to inspect the noise and noticed that someone had lit fireworks near her rear bumper and had damaged her vehicle. Approximately a ten inch hole was made in the bumper. There were no witnesses and a search for suspects was negative. Report number 120013302

7:08pm       Santa Rosa/Cayuga      Attempted Theft

 Officers Chang and Park were dispatched to a call for service. Upon arriving on scene the victim identified herself and informed Officers that someone just tried to rob her. While the victim was walking down the street someone came from behind her and reached into her front pocket. The victim scream scared the suspect that took off running. The victim was not able to get a good description of the suspect but did state that he was wearing a black hooded sweatshirt. Report number 120002495

Officers Anderson and Ferronato were dispatched to a location where a resident believed that some unknown suspects were attempting to break into a car. The resident told Officers that he witnessed the suspects looking into the vehicle and walking around the car. He then heard breaking glass but did not see who broke the window. The witness then began shouting at the suspects and they fled the scene. The witness told Officers that the vehicle belonged to a neighbor that was out of town for the holidays. The officers searched the area for suspects but the search was negative. Report number 120002837

2:57am       700 blk Huron              Resisting Arrest

Officers Jones and Baldovino were dispatched to Huron avenue to investigate a report that someone was attempting to break into cars. When they arrived they engaged with a suspect that meet the description. The Officers made two attempts to get the suspect to stop walking before he finally did and then began to cry. The suspect was obviously upset and the Officers could smell alcohol on his breath. When the Officers performed a pat search for weapons the suspect began threatening the Officers so he was placed under arrest for being drunk in public and resisting arrest. Report number 111043600

While Officers Sanchez and Curry were responding to a battery call they noticed a woman in the area walking down the street and bleeding from the mouth. The woman denied that she was hit by anyone. When Officers conducted a warrant check they discovered that she had a no bail for her arrest. The suspect was then arrested and transported to Ingleside Station. Report number 111044169

Officers Park and Chang were dispatched to a business to investigate a person reported to be trespassing. After arriving on the scene the Officers meet with a security guard that had detained a suspect because she was not allowed in the store. The security guard informed the Officers that the suspect had been caught shoplifting several times and was told that she was no longer allowed in the store. The suspect admitted that she was aware that she was not allowed in the store. The Officers accepted the citizen’s arrest and issued the suspect a citation to appear in court and released him at the scene. Report number 111045082

11:40pm     Unit blk Oliver              Aggravated Assault

Officers Hom and Cassinelli were dispatched to Oliver St. because several citizens had called about a fight between a man and a woman. The Officers would find out later that the man was attempting to restrain the woman from further injuring him. The woman was extremely intoxicated and was upset about rent issues. This was the third time that the police were called to the residence that day. Both previous calls were regarding verbal arguments and were resolved and the suspect agreed to leave the residence and not return again until the next day. However the suspect had returned and the argument had turned physical. After separating the suspect and the victim the Officers were informed by the victim that when the suspect had returned to the residence they began to argue again and then the suspect began throwing items at him. The victim then grabbed the suspect and held her on the ground to prevent her from hurting him any further and yelled to the neighbors to call the police. The victim had moderate injuries and refused medical assistance. The suspect was at the scene when the officers arrived and was placed under arrest for aggravated assault and transported to Ingleside Station. Report number 111045781

Officer Kabanuck was dispatched to investigate a victim that reported their car was vandalized. When the Officer  arrived two other Officers had already made contact with the victim. The victim told the Officers that he believed that the husband of his friend damaged his truck because they did not get along. The Officers contacted the suspect and he admitted that he did damage the truck and agreed to pay for the damages. The victim did not want to press charges but only wanted to make sure that the suspect paid for the damages. Report number 111043939

Officer Callaghan was dispatched to a burglary incident. When the officer arrived at the residence the victims informed her that while they were on vacation their house had been broken into. Several items had been taken from various areas of their house but there was no sign of forced entry. The victims believe that someone had found the key to their house that was located in their garage that they often keep unlocked. They believe that it might have been one of their neighbors that they believe has been involved in several burglaries before. They were provided with follow-up information. Report number 120003493

Officers were dispatched to a Robbery on Brookdale where it was reported that a gun was used. When they arrived the victim told Officers that when she and her husband were making a delivery for her business she was robbed at gun point. The victim told Officers that she was outside her delivery van and three men came up to her and demanded all of her money. The victim was scared because they had a gun pointed at her so she reached in her pocket and gave all her money to them. They then ran off down the street. The victim was able to give descriptions of the suspects but the Officers could not find anyone in the area that matched the descriptions. Report number 111044636

Community Police Services Aide Lee and Callaghan were dispatched to a burglary at a local business. When they arrived, they were informed by two civilians that they noticed the front gate was open and the one of the window panes on the door was smashed. When they walked into the store they noticed that the cash register was left open. They then called the police. The Kopsas were able to contact one of the employees and they agreed to come to the store and look around. The employee inspected the scene and told the Officers that about three hundred dollars was stolen. The CPSAs then processed the scene for fingerprints and took pictures of the damages. Officers Fung and Suguitan responded to a call that a stray bullet hit a residence. When they arrived, the victim informed Officers that he had heard a gunshot outside and then a loud thud on his front door. When the victim inspected it he noticed that a stray bullet had ricochet off his front gate and struck the landing wall of his door and then struck a window. The victim’s family was home at the time but luckily no one was injured. The Officers canvassed the area for any witnesses or suspects with negative results. Report number 111045151

2:00am                100 blk Bennington      Auto Theft Arrest

Early Tuesday morning Officers Padilla and Benavidez were dispatched to investigate two male suspects that were reported to be breaking into a van. When the officers arrived they observed one suspect in the passenger seat and another standing just outside the passenger side door. After Officer Padilla ordered the two suspects to step away from the van one of them immediately began sprinting down Bennington in the opposite direction. Officer Benavidez detained one suspect while Officer Padilla engaged in a foot chase after the fleeing suspect. Despite the suspect having a head start, Officer Padilla was able to catch up with him and while attempting to restrain the suspect they both went to the ground where a fight broke out. During the fight four other Officers from Ingleside arrived and assisted Officer Padilla in handcuffing the very violent suspect. Due to the intensity of the chase and the struggle to restrain the suspect, three Officers and the suspect received injuries. An ambulance was called for the suspect and Officer Padilla. The second suspect was taken back to Ingleside station and in a taped interview admitted that he had stolen the vehicle and then recruited the second suspect to help him sell the items inside the vehicle. A concerned citizen called Police when they noticed a man acting suspiciously and carrying a duffel bag in and out of a residence on Fairmont St.  Officers Hurwitz, Rueca, and Elton were dispatched to the call and made contact with the witness who showed them the vehicle that the suspect put the duffle bag in. The witness did not recognize the suspect as someone who was from the area and believed that they had burglarized the residence. As the Officers were obtaining information from the witness the suspect emerged from the residence that was believed to have been burglarized and the Officers approached him. While the Officers were questioning the suspect they noticed that he was acting unusually nervous so they performed a pat search to ensure their safety. The suspect was asked to provide proof of his identification witch he said was inside the vehicle. The Officers searched the vehicle which had a very strong odor of marijuana and in plain view noticed a clear plastic bag containing marijuana. The Officers located several items witch they later learned to be stolen.  

The suspect told the Officers his father owned a home there. The Officers located the owner of the home who confirmed the suspect was his son but did not have permission to be on the property. The suspect was arrested and transported to Ingleside station. An arrest search located a clear plastic bag containing a white colored rock believed to be cocaine. The suspect was booked on conformation of a warrant and both narcotics ceased by the Officers. Sergeant Alvarez of Ingleside Special Investigation Team (SIT) took over the investigation and all evidence was booked at Ingleside station.  This is also  ****The Best Arrest of the Day**** Report number 111033877

Officer Pedersen responded to a complaint regarding fraudulent checks. The victim told Officer Pedersen that he had accepted a job and his employer immediately asked him to cash a check and send the money to another bank account. Acting in good faith the victim agreed to the transaction. However, the victim became suspicious after his employer asked him to cash another check for the same amount and repeat the process. Meanwhile the bank contacted the victim to notify him that his account had been frozen because of the previous bad check. The investigation to find the employer of the victim is pending. Sergeant Daniels was dispatched early Tuesday morning to inspect a residence that recently had its window broken. The victim told Officer Daniels that he was abruptly woken when he heard a loud crashing noise in his living room. When the victim entered his living room he found that the front window had been smashed and a rock was on the floor. It was unknown to the victim who would have done this because he does not have any enemies. Photographs were taken of the damaged window but no witnesses or suspects were located. Officers Walsh and Altamirano were dispatched to investigate another broken window incident. The victim of the residence told the officers that when he woke up he noticed that his living room window had been broken during the night and a screw was on the floor around the broken glass. The victim also informed the Officers that his neighbors saw a male wearing all black leaving the area early that morning. Photographs were taken of the damage however the witnesses were not available to be interviewed. Report number 111033112

While Officer Zabarte was on station duty the victim of credit card fraud came in to report the crime. The victim told Officer Zabarte that he recently noticed an outstanding charge for airplane tickets that had come from out of state. The victim called the credit card company and informed them that he had not made the purchase and he has no idea how someone got his card number because it had not been stolen. The credit card company issued him a new card and advised him to report the incident to the police. Officer Zabarte then gave the victim information on identity theft. Report number 111033253

Officers Wilson and Gomez were dispatched to a residence to investigate a female victim that had been assaulted by a male suspect. After interviewing the victim the Officers confirmed that the victim had been punched in the face with a closed fist by a known acquaintance during an argument. The suspect then fled the scene. The victim had only minor injuries and refused medical attention. The Officers went with the victim to where she believed the suspect lived and continued their search for the assailant. The roommate of the suspect allowed officers to search the residence but he was not found. The victim was transported back home but when Officers later tried to contact her for a statement she could not be reached. Report number 111033184

While Officer Zabarte was assigned to station duty the victim of vehicle theft came in to report the crime. The victim told Officer Zabarte that during the night his vehicle was broken into and several items were stolen. The victim could not determine how anyone could gain entrance to his vehicle because he had locked it and there was no sign of forced entry. Officer Zabarte issued the victim the proper forms and informed him of the follow-up procedures. Report number 111032857

Officer Padilla was dispatched to a residence on Huron where a woman found a purse that had been discarded in front of her house. Officer Padilla inspected the purse and found checks with an address leading him to another residence. Upon arriving at the residence Officer Padilla contacted the owner of the purse and she informed him that her locked vehicle had been broken into earlier in the day while it was parked on Mission Street. She did not contact police at that time because she wanted to make an online report later. The victim showed Officer Padilla her vehicle that had a smashed rear window but there were no surfaces that could be printed successfully for fingerprints. Photos were taken of the damage and the purse was returned to the victim. Report number 111033639

Officer Hopkins and three other Ingleside Officers were dispatched to a residence where a victim reported that her rear bedroom window had been broken while she was in her living room. As the victim entered the bedroom and looked out her window she observed a male suspect walking very quickly away from her residence. The victim did not personally witness the suspect break the window but believed he was responsible because of the way he was walking. The Officers did not find any other witnesses or suspects.
