Arrests:

4:46pm       100 Blk Florentine                  Stolen Vehicle
A Hyundai Tucson parked in front of a fire hydrant caught the attention of Ingleside Officers Padilla and Seavey. The Hyundai, besides being parked illegally, had dealer paper plates on the rear of the vehicle. Officer Padilla ran the vehicle’s VIN number which revealed the Hyundai was a stolen rental car out of South San Francisco. Padilla returned to his patrol car and notified dispatch about the location of the stolen car and asked for a tow vehicle. While waiting for its arrival, two women and a man approached the stolen car with the women entering the front seat and the man in the rear. Padilla and Seavey radioed for assistance and approached the Hyundai, while identifying themselves as police officers. All the occupants were ordered out of the stolen car. A records check revealed the woman driver and the woman passenger were on probation. The woman driver also had several previous arrests for auto theft and related crimes. She was arrested and taken to Ingleside Station. The stolen car was towed to impound. Report number: 160662190

9:26pm       Trumbull/Congdon                 Stolen Vehicle
Ingleside Officers Wells and Archilla, part of a team of officers working vehicle crimes, spotted a 10 year old Chrysler minivan with a non-functioning brake light. The officers stopped the vehicle to notify the driver about the problem so he could get it repaired. However, before they could begin that conversation, the nervous driver blurted out he didn’t have insurance or registration. He did show the officers his driver’s license. A computer check revealed he was on felony probation out of San Mateo County. His passenger was also on felony probation out of San Mateo County for a burglary conviction. Dispatch informed the officers the license plates on the vehicle did not belong to the Chrysler. What’s more, a check of the VIN number revealed that the Chrysler was stolen last month in Eau Claire, Wisconsin. The driver was arrested for auto theft and his passenger was released at the scene. The car was towed to impound. Report number: 160662996
