Thinking it was the police, she opened the door and four men and two women rushed in and attacked her. The suspects ransacked her apartment punched her and cut her several times on her face with a sharp razor before leaving. Her two young children were asleep in a bedroom and did not hear the attack. The next morning the victim took her children to school and then went to St. Luke’s Hospital for treatment. She called police from the hospital and Ingleside Officers Johnson and Chew responded to interview the victim. She told the officers the attack may be related to a previous case involving a former boyfriend. She also told the officers that she didn’t call the police the night before because she didn’t want to wake up her children and she decided not to go immediately to the hospital because she wanted to take her children to school the next morning.
