11:40pm     Santos/Geneva              Robbery                                            
Officers Gabriel and Apodaca were sent to assist the victim of a robbery.  The victim told them that he was standing on a corner waiting for a friend who had gone to the liquor store across the street. While waiting, He was surprised and tackled from behind by two unknown suspects.  The suspects threw him to the ground, pointed a handgun at him and proceeded to empty out his pockets, and taking his wallet.  The two suspects headed down Santos running away with four hundred dollars.  The victim immediately flagged down a Daly City Police officer who happened to be driving by the area. The victim then provided a description of both suspects. The victim was not injured and refused medical assistance. Both Daly City and San Francisco Officers canvassed the area for the suspects to no avail.  Report number 120762570

Arrests:

12:27am     400 blk Justin               Aggravated Assault
Officers Contreras and Hermosura responded to an aggravated assault incident. The officers located several subjects bleeding and called for medics. The officers were able to learn that the subjects were involved in a physical fight that culminated in both of them bleeding. The subjects told the officers that they got into a wrestling match and that when they were on the ground one of them felt a finger in his mouth, so he bit it! The officer’s were able to ascertain who started the fight and booked him for aggravated assault. The suspect was treated at the scene and then booked at Ingleside station. The victim was transported to the hospital for non life threatening injuries.  Report number 120757402

9:37am       Lyell/Still                       Burglary Arrest
Officers Almaguer and Hom were dispatched to an auto burglary that was in progress. Dispatch broadcast the description of the suspect for other responding units. Officers Villaruel and Reserve Officer Martinez located a subject that matched the description and detained. The officers soon learned that the subject being detained was in fact the suspect in this case. The officers found money from the car as well as other property on the suspect. The officers conducted a warrant check and also learned that the suspect was on parole for…you guessed it! Auto burglary! The suspect was booked at Ingleside Station and a parole hold was placed on him. This suspect will now spend this October in prison! Trick or treat? Report number 1207576402. Because of the coordination between Ingleside officers and dispatch this felon is back in prison. This is the ***Best Arrest of the Day***

Officers Park and Chang were sent on a robbery call. The officers located the victim and learned that the victim was walking on Geneva when a car pulled into a driveway in his path. Three suspects in the car began asking for directions. At one point the suspects said “we want what you got!” the victim said that he felt was about to get robbed so he ran. The suspects chased and took his backpack. The suspects got back into the car and fled. The officers searched the area but were not able to find the suspect. The victim was not injured. Officers Leong and Cassinelli were sent to investigate a commercial robbery case. The officers spoke to the victim that told them the following: Two suspects walked into the pet store and began to look at the fish. While one suspect walked around the other suspect stayed at the front door. One of the suspects grabbed merchandise and brought it to the counter and asked for an item that the victim went to show him. The suspect grabbed the victim in a headlock and dragged him into the back of the store where he was pushed into a room and pepper sprayed. The suspects locked the victim in the room. The suspects did not wear gloves but did pick up numerous things that would hold a print. CSI was notified and an ambulance was called for the victims eyes. The suspects fled the scene. Unfortunately there is no surveillance system in the store. The loss was $1000 in cash. Other than the pepper spray the victim was not injured. Report number 120758892

Officers Peregrina and Benavidez were dispatched to a robbery with a gun incident. The officers spoke to the victim for the events. The victim was walking on the street when she felt someone grab her purse from behind. The victim told the officers that she struggled with the suspect over the purse when she heard the suspect say ”give it up, I will shoot you”. The victim turned and saw the suspect holding a gun! The struggle for the purse continued for two more minutes with the suspect finally snatching the purse and fleeing the scene. The victim was uninjured. The total loss of cash and property was over $1000

Arrests:

11:45am     1000 blk Cayuga                 Battery Arrest
Officers Conceicao and Walsh were called to investigate a battery incident. The officers spoke to the victim who told them that she was attacked for no reason by a known suspect. The suspect was present when the officers responded. The victim signed a citizen’s arrest and the officers arrested the suspect. The suspect was arrested and 0then cited to appear in court.  Report number 120755008

Officers Bernard and Chew were sent to investigate a shoplifting case. The officers arrived and found the suspect being detained by store security. The security officer told the officers that he watched the suspect walk out without paying for the item. The victim signed a citizen’s arrest and the suspect was arrested and then booked at Ingleside Station. Report 120756454

Officers Chang and Park were dispatched to investigate a robbery. The officers spoke to the victim who told them she was at the bus shelter waiting for the bus. While waiting the victim was “TEXTING” and not paying attention to her surroundings when she was startled by a hand that was grabbing her phone. The victim told the officers that there was a short struggle for the phone with her eventually losing her grip of the phone. The suspect fled with the phone. The officers searched the area to no avail. The victim was not injured during the robbery. Report number 120755127

Officer Cassinelli and Chan were sent to investigate an assault case. The victim told the officers that while visiting a friend she was attacked. The victim told the officers that she left the home and that when outside she stepped outside a known suspect attacked from behind. The suspect punched the victim repeatedly. The suspect 9then fled. The victim was transported to the hospital and treated for numerous non life threatening injuries. report number 120756711

Ingleside officers netted 5 warrant arrest today ranging from grand theft, parole violation, traffic and narcotics violations.

2:54pm       Unit blk Liebig             Drug Arrest
Lt Engler and Sgt Rainsford set out to locate a wanted suspect on drug charges. The officers responded to the location where the suspect frequents and located several other subjects. The officers engaged the subjects and discovered that they were on parole and probation. The officers exercised the search condition and discovered that there were drugs and other drug related instruments in the house. When on parole or probation you are not permitted to even be near these things. The subjects were placed under arrest and booked at Ingleside Station. Report number 120752509

10:46pm     San Jose/Randall          DUI Arrest
Officers Ocreto and Gomez were responding to a call, when they noticed a car had driven onto the MUNI tracks on San Jose and Randall. The officers stopped to make sure everyone was ok. The officers were met by a booze smelling driver. The driver told the officers’ that he did not see the tracks and that he would back out. The driver was unable to stand and staggered as he walked. The officers attempted to do a FST but the driver refused. The officers later found out that the driver had two prior arrests DUI and was currently on probation for the same. The driver was arrested and booked for the violation. Report number 120750650

Officers Obot and Hart were on patrol when they observed a known suspect with an active warrant. The officers took the suspect into custody and booked him at Ingleside Station. Report number 120644310

Officer Andreson and Ferronato responded to a call regarding a battery. The officers met with the victim who stated she and a known suspect got into an argument. The suspect threw a bottle of lotion at the victim which hit her arm. The suspect grabbed her belongings and walked down the street. Officers searched the area for the suspect with negative results. The victim was given a case number, Follow Up form and a Victim of Violent Crime form. Report number 120750804

3:00pm       Ocean/Onondaga          Battery      
Officers Shugars and Paras were dispatched to a call regarding a battery. The suspect stated he was walking down the street when he noticed two unknown suspects following him. Suspect 1 pushed the victim to the ground and began punching his face; as suspect 2 was standing around as a lookout for police. The victim stated that the suspects stopped assaulting him and the two suspects took off in an unknown direction. The victim stated that the suspects did not say anything before, after, or during the incident. The victim was treated for his injuries and photographs were taken. The victim was given an SFPD Follow Up form, Victim of Violent Crime form, and a Marcy’s Card form. All evidence was booked at Ingleside Station. Report number 120750064

Civilian Police Service Aide Flynn was working station duty at Ingleside Station when a victim came in to report an auto strip. The victim stated he had parked and locked his vehicle over night.  Upon returning the next morning he noticed the running boards were missing. The victim did not see anybody near his vehicle and did not give anybody permission to remove his property. The victim wanted the incident documented for insurance purposes. The victim was given a Follow Up form, and a Marsy’s Resource card. Report number 120749330

Officers Antonian and Chan were dispatched to a call regarding a vandalism. The victim informed the officers that she had parked two of her vehicles and upon returning, she realized they both had damaged windshields. The victim did not see anybody near her vehicle. The officer took photographs of the damage and booked all evidence at Ingleside Station. The victim was given a Follow Up form. Report number 120750672

Arrests:

2:09am       Unit Blk Cortland        Poss. Stolen Property  
Officers Padilla and Seavey were on patrol when they observed a suspicious vehicle travelling erratically.  The vehicle came to a stop and the driver exited the vehicle and began walking at a fast pace.  The officers detained the male who appeared nervous and anxious.  A record check revealed the driver was on active probation and that the vehicle was stolen.  The driver was taken into custody.  A search of the vehicle located various burglary tools known to be used to break into vehicles.  The suspect was booked for the stolen vehicle and issued a property receipt for the items seized.  Report number 120743081

7:15pm       30th/Mission                   Threats      
Officers Castillo and Leong were dispatched to a threats call.  They met with the reportee who stated that he boarded the MUNI bus and a male who was sitting next to him began making rude comments to him.  The male then got up and told the reportee he was going to “shoot him.”  The reportee then called the police and the suspect exited the bus.  The reportee was not injured and refused medical assistance.  He provided the officers with a description of the suspect and a male matching the description was detained not far from the scene.  The reportee later identified the suspect as the male who had threatened him and the suspect was taken into custody without incident.  A record check revealed the suspect to be on active parole.  He was booked for the threats and a parole violation.  The officers contacted MUNI dispatch and ordered a copy of the video surveillance tape.  Report number 120747237

Officers Paras and Shugars were sent to investigate an attempted fraud.  The victim stated that she received a phone call stating that her PG&E bill was overdue and to purchase a prepaid credit card and a truck would come by and pick it up.  The victim became suspicious and asked the clerk at a local store if they knew anything regarding paying a PG&E bill in this manner and the agent told her to contact PG&E.  The victim then called the police.  Report number 120747049

A victim responded to Ingleside Station and told PSA Flynn that he exited a MUNI bus and two males began following him.  The males asked him if he wanted to buy some BART tickets and the victim ignored them.  The suspects then began punching him repeatedly.  The victim could not recall anything further and remembers being picked up by the medics and placed in the ambulance.  He said he could not recognize the suspects but that they stole various items from him.  The PSA took pictures of his injuries and contacted MUNI to request a copy of the video surveillance tape.  Report number 120746405

Arrests:

5:46pm       3100 Blk Mission          Robbery    
Officer Castillo and several other Ingleside officers responded to a robbery with a gun at a business.  They met with the victim who was a Cantonese speaker and Officer Fung assisted in the interview.  The victim told the officers that two males entered the store, ordered a drink and as she went to make the drink, one of them came around the counter, pointed a gun at her and began emptying the register.  The suspects then grabbed her and another employee and attempted to put them in the freezer.  The victim pleaded they not put them in the freezer and the suspects put them in a back room.  The suspects took a large amount of money and several cellular phones.  They then left the area. 

The victims provided a detailed description of the suspects as officers canvassed the area. They were not injured and refused medical assistance.  While conducting the interview, Inspector Maguire contacted the officers to say he had two possible suspects detained on Market Street. The victims were transported to the area where they positively identified both suspects as the ones who had robbed the store.  Both were taken into custody.  An arrest search located a white crystal substance in one of their pockets which later tested positive for methamphetamine.  Also recovered were several cellular phones believed those to have been taken from the store.  A record check revealed one of the suspects was on active parole.  Both suspects were transported to Southern Police Station where they were booked at the instruction of Sgt. Lozada.

Several officers returned with the victims to their business.  Video surveillance footage was retrieved from two businesses in the area showing the suspects entering the store and using a firearm to steal the money.  Pictures were taken of the store and surrounding area for evidence.  These items were booked at Ingleside Station.  Report number 120744114

8:06pm       1500 Blk Geneva          Resisting    
Officers Seavey and Padilla were sent to assist a reportee regarding a trespasser.  When they arrived they located a known suspect who they have had several prior contacts for trespass at the same address.  They attempted to escort the male out of the home and he began resisting and pushing the officers.  After a short struggle the suspect was able to be apprehended and cited for resisting.  Neither the suspect nor the officers were injured.  Report number 120744738

A victim responded to Ingleside Station and told PSA Flynn that he was waiting to be picked up on the corner of Mission and Geneva when two suspects approached him and began punching him.  The victim fell to the ground and the suspects took his backpack and Iphone and fled in an unknown direction.  The victim said he could possibly identify one of the suspects.  He said he was picked up and taken to the hospital where he was treated and released.  PSA Flynn took pictures of his injury and booked them into evidence.  Report number 120743815

2:30am       Santos/Velasco              Agg. Assault       
Officers Gabriel and Apodaca were dispatched to an aggravated assault on a MUNI bus.  They spoke with a witness who stated that the victim was sleeping on the bus when a male approached him and began kicking him in the head.  The suspect then exited the bus with two females.  The officers made contact with the victim who was bleeding from the head.  He said he did not recall anything because he was asleep when the incident occurred.  An ambulance was summoned to the scene and the victim was transported to the hospital for further evaluation.  Officers searched the area for the suspect with no success.  They contacted MUNI and ordered a copy of the video surveillance tape.  Report number 120742378

Officers Baldovino and Otaguro responded to a theft call.  The victim told them that he was sitting on a bench looking at his phone when someone came from behind him, grabbed the phone and took off running down Velasco.  The victim was not injured and said he was afraid when the incident occurred.  He was able to follow the suspect for a few blocks but lost sight of him.  He said he would be able to recognize the suspect if he saw him again.  Several officers searched the neighborhood but were unable to locate the suspect or the cellular phone.  Report number 120743257

Arrests:

2:40am       100 Blk Kelloch            Vandalism
Officers Apodaca and Gabriel responded to a person screaming obscenities.  They met with the reportee who informed them that a former tenant had been in front screaming and throwing things.  The known suspect threw a statue which damaged the windshield of a parked car.  The reportee said she witnessed everything and would sign a citizen’s arrest.  The officers detained the suspect without incident.  They contacted the owner of the damaged vehicle.  She confirmed the damage was not there when she parked the vehicle.  The suspect was cited for the vandalism.

Officer Bernard and several other Ingleside officers were dispatched to an attempted robbery.  They located the victim who had a large bump on his head.  He refused medical assistance, but the officers summoned an ambulance to assess him.  The victim told them that he was walking down the street when a group of males approached him, began hitting him with a baseball bat and attempted to rob him.  The victim said he did not lose any property in the struggle and would not recognize the suspects if he saw them again.  The victim was provided all the necessary follow up forms and transported to the hospital for further medical treatment.  Officers canvassed the area for the suspects to no avail.  Report number 120739814

A victim responded to Ingleside Station and told PSA Cato that he has been having problems with a neighbor whom he has a restraining order against.  The victim said he was walking out in front of his home when the suspect approached him and pushed him for no reason.  The victim was not injured but wanted the incident documented.  Report number 120741637

Officers Yuen and Fung were sent to investigate a vehicle vandalism.  They met with the victim who told them that he was driving on Geneva when the driver of another vehicle drove alongside him and began gesturing obscene things to him with his hands.  The vehicle then stopped in front of him and the driver exited the vehicle.  The suspect approached the victim’s vehicle yelling uncontrollably, kicked the vehicle and then ran into the BART station.  The victim was not injured and said he could identify the suspect if he saw him again.  Report number 120741267
