0:04 am 5500 blk Mission Permit Violation
Officers Apodaca and Gabriel affected a traffic stop of a taxi they noticed did not have an exterior SF taxi permit sticker. The taxi cab had stopped to pick up a fare near Mission and Geneva Avenues. A citation was issued to the individual driving the cab (and picking up a fare) within San Francisco without a valid permit. Report 110328847.
3:04 am 400 blk Raymond Burglary (Veh)
Officers Polovina and Kneuker were dispatched to a possible auto burglary in progress. They observed various individuals sitting inside a green vehicle. The caller advised dispatch that additional subjects were sitting inside a silver vehicle to the rear of the green car. Officers had the occupants of the green vehicle exit the vehicle. The subjects were mirandized and a search of the vehicle turned up what is commonly known as burglary tools. They also located keys which were “shaved.” The caller (to dispatch) and owner of the vehicle made contact with the officers and advised he had not given anyone permission to enter his vehicle. Officers found a screwdriver inside the vehicle which did not belong to the victim and noticed damage to the steering column. All subjects were transported to Ingleside Station. A few of the detainees were released and two were cited and/or booked for tampering with a vehicle and possession of burglary tools. Report 110326045.
1:00 pm 4900 blk Mission Petty Theft
Officers Araujo and Rand responded to a call of a theft. They met with reportee who told him that he observed subject enter the store, grab some bottles of alcohol and walk past several registers and exit the store without any attempt to pay for the items. A record check of the subject revealed various arrests for prior petty thefts. Subject was transported to Ingleside Station where he was booked for petty theft with prior convictions. 11:29 pm Unit blk Benton Burglary (Veh)
Officers Hom and Cassinelli responded to a call of someone breaking into a vehicle. They observed a male sitting inside a gold vehicle which matched the description of the vehicle the caller described. Various officers responded to assist and they had the male sitting in the driver’s seat exit the vehicle. The caller confirmed with dispatch that the individual detained was the person he had called about. The suspect was unable to provide information as to who owned the vehicle. Officers searched the vehicle and noticed the glove box had been damaged and several items thrown around. They located keys which were “shaved.” Officers contacted the owner of the vehicle who confirmed she did not know the individual who the police had detained. A back pack which suspect claimed was his was searched through as the individual had been placed under arrest. Officers located various bag of narcotics and the suspect was booked at Ingleside Police Station for vehicle tampering and possession of narcotics. Report 110328803. “BEST ARREST OF THE DAY”
10:35 pm Mission/Huron Permit Violation
Officers Gabriel and Apodaca observed a blue taxi cab pick up a fare near Mission and Huron Streets which they noticed was not a taxi with permits for San Francisco. They affected a traffic stop and cited the driver of the cab for the permit violation. Report 110328609.

1:40 am Mission/Ottawa Battery
Officers Barajas and Shugars were flagged down by victim who stated that he had been punched in the face while riding on the 14 Mission MUNI bus. Victim stated that he was on the bus when three males entered the bus and began bothering him. One of the suspects asked him what he was looking at and where he was from. When victim replied he was from nowhere the suspect approached him, punched him with a closed fist on the side of the face and then exited the bus. Victim said he did not need medical assistance and that he had never seen any of the suspects before. Officers searched the area unsuccessfully for the suspects. Report 110329099.
8:30 am 1900 blk Castro Burglary
Officer Khan and Leong responded to a call of a burglary. Victim told them she locked and secured her home when she left and when she returned noticed the back door was ajar. She also noticed a smashed window in the kitchen and that various boxes and items had been moved around. Victim said that various items had been taken and that she did not give anyone permission to enter the premises. Officers searched the area for any latent fingerprint evidence to no avail. 9:00 am Unit blk Turquoise Dog Bite
Officer Giannini responded to a call of a dog bite. Reportee advised that he was inside his home when he heard his dog yelping. He came out and noticed his dog had been injured in his muzzle area. The reportee went outside and spoke with a neighbor who has a dog and an adjoining fence. The owner of the dog accepted responsibility and agreed to pay for the damages. Report 110327106.
11:00 am 300 blk Prague Har Phone Calls
Officers Leong and Khan were dispatched to a call of harassing phone calls. Victim advised that he had been receiving phone calls from a known suspect who wanted to visit his home. Victim advised he had had several incidents with this individual and did not want any problems. When victim advised the suspect of this he continuously called him to annoy him. Report 110328201.
12:00 pm 200 blk John Shelley Arson (Veh)
Officer Najarro responded to a park where reportee claimed there was a vehicle that had been burned. The officer located a license plate which returned to an owner located in Pittsburgh. The owner of the vehicle confirmed that his vehicle had been stolen. The vehicle was towed to the crime scene lot with a hold for arson. Report 110326233.
1:00 pm 1800 blk Sunnydale Veh Theft
Officers Duffin and Obot responded to a call of broken windows. Victim stated that she left her home secure and locked. When she returned she noticed five windows had been smashed. Victim did not see anyone do the damage and could provide no further information. Report 110328239.
1:00 pm 600 blk Prentiss Fraud
Victim came to Ingleside Station to report a fraud. He stated that his sister informed him that a friend of his was using his social security number to set up phone and cable service. Victim could not provide any further information on the suspect. Report 110327413.
5:00 pm 100 blk Kelloch Burglary
Officers Dudley and Antonian responded to a call of a burglary. Victim told them that she locked and secured her home and when she returned found the metal gate had been damaged. Victim said that various items were missing. Officers took pictures of the scene and advised victim that our crime scene investigations team would be responding to process the home for any evidence. 10:00 pm 200 blk 27th Fraud
Victim came to Ingleside Station to report a fraud. Victim stated that she received a phone call from a car dealership regarding her application for credit to purchase a vehicle. Victim stated that she did not fill out such an application. Victim had also been given a credit alert through her bank that someone was possibly using her identity. Victim wanted to file a report but could provide no further information on the suspect. Report 110327736.
10:10 pm 1800 blk Alemany Theft from Vehicle
Officers Park and Chang were flagged down by victim who stated that he parked and secured his truck on Alemany Boulevard. Victim said he returned to the truck and found the truck bed door missing as well as a spare tire. He was unable to provide any further information. Report 110328427
23:22 pm Crescent/Andover Theft from Person
Officers Otaguro and Baldovino responded to a call of a possible robbery. Victim stated she was at the bus stop with various items on her person when she set one of the items down. She said she noticed a male standing to her rear but could not see his face. The suspect then grabbed one of her bags and ran down Andover. Victim was not injured, refused medical treatment and does not believe she would be able to identify the suspect. Officers found a store with video footage which showed the suspect pacing back and forth at the bus stop and requested a copy from the owner. They canvassed the area unsuccessfully for the suspect.
