Arrests:

8:23 pm     Geneva/Cayuga          Theft from Person
Officers Park and Chang were sent to investigate a theft incident. The victim told the officers that a known suspect had taken her phone from her. The victim told the officers that the suspect showed up at her work and followed her to BART. The victim told the officers that at one point the suspect grabbed the cell phone out of her hand and started running. The victim followed and caught up to him near the BART station. The suspect threw the phone on the ground causing it to shatter. The suspect, who was still at the scene, was placed under arrest and booked. Report number 110336157

9:48 am     100 blk Harvard          Harassing Calls
Officers Muro and Campion-Healy were sent to investigate a harassing calls incident. The victim told the officer that he was introduced to a church patron who needed a ride to church. The victim told the officers that the woman who he gave a willing ride to for two months was very nice at first. The victim told the officers that he stopped going to church for the last two months because of the lady suspect. The victim told the officers that the suspect started making sexual advances towards him and this made him uncomfortable. The suspect calls the victim with threats and sexual advances. The suspect is 80 and the victim a young 51! Report number 110334349

12:00 pm 100 blk Arleta             Burglary/Arson
Officers Padilla and Sullivan were sent to investigate a burglary with unusual circumstances. The victim told the officers that he owns the property and that since it has been vacant there have been several break-ins. The victim told the officers that he comes and checks on the property every couple of months. The victim told the officers that he came to check because a friend told him that about trespassers. When the victim came to check he found that someone had gathered up material and started a fire inside the house. CSI was notified and will be responding to process the crime scene. 12:15 pm  50 Phelan                    Theft
SFCCPD officer Edwards was he was sent to investigate a theft that occurred in the library. The victim told the officer that she was in the library and placed her bag on a chair right next to her. The victim told the officer that she got up twice to go to the restroom, both times leaving her bag unattended. The officers were able to check the video. Report number 110327178

12:35 pm 1600 blk Geneva         Theft
Officers Campion-Healy and Muro were sent to investigate a theft incident. The victim told the officers that he was at the soccer fields and placed his backpack on the ground and began to exercise.  The victim went around the field and while he was on the opposite side of the he saw a suspect near his backpack. The victim walked back to his property and looked at the suspect who said “Hi”. The victim continued to work out and when he looked back at his property, it was gone along with the suspect. 4:00 pm     100 blk Addison         Arson
Officer Preston was sent to investigate an arson case. When the officer arrived he was met by the SFFD E26 and the fire had been extinguished.  The fire was of a car. The officer tried to locate the owner. A resident that did not want to be identified told the officer that they thought the car belonged to a family member, but refused to give any information whatsoever. An arson report was prepared. 5:00 pm      200 blk Alpha              Burglary
Officers Sullivan and Padilla were sent to investigate a burglary incident.  The victim told the officers that his home has been vacant for some time. Today the victim came to check on the property and discovered that someone had broken a window and damaged a door. Report number 110335234     

8:00 pm     3300 blk Mission        Battery
Officer Khan was sent to investigate an assault incident on Mission Street. The victim spoke to the officer and told him that he was eating dinner at a restaurant when he watched a couple get into an argument. The victim told the officer that he and his friend decide to leave the place. The suspect got up and asked the two men what they were looking at. The victims did not want to get involved and left. The suspect followed them outside and ran up and punched the victim in the forehead. When the victim’s friend tried to step in and help, he was punched in the same spot. The suspect then fled. 8:35 pm     200 blk Schwerin       Robbery
Officers Antonian and Dudley were sent to investigate a robbery case. The victim told the officers while on her way home a suspect jumped out of a doorway and grabbed her by the arm. The suspect kept trying to pull the purse off her arm. The victim saw another two suspects standing watch.  The suspect was able to get the purse from the victim and all three fled the area. There were no injuries. Report number 110336107

11:15 pm 800 blk Alemany         Theft from Auto
PSA Cato prepared a report regarding theft case. the victim told the PSA that he parked and locked his car. the victim told the PSA that when he returned he discovered that someone had broken a window and removed his property.
