Arrests:12:11am Persia & Sunnydale D.U.IIngleside Officers Fogarty and Zhao were dispatched to a report of an accident involving two vehicles. When they arrived they observed one truck which struck a parked truck near the intersection. The unlicensed driver of the first truck was standing near his vehicle. He was unsteady, had bloodshot eyes, and his breath smelled of alcohol. He was given a road side sobriety test which he failed. The suspect was driven to the CHP office where a breathalyzer test revealed a blood alcohol level three times the legal limit. The suspect was transported to the county jail and booked for DUI. Report number: 1708804236:36am Parking Lot near Ingleside Station WeaponIngleside Officers Fitzpatrick and Sgt. Kumli noticed a man sleeping in his car in the parking lot adjacent to Ingleside Station. The officers noticed the pungent smell of marijuana emanating from the car. They woke up the man and asked if he had any weapons on him. He said he had a “butterfly” knife in his pocket. The officers confiscated the illegal weapon and issued a citation to the unlicensed driver. He was released at the scene and told he could not drive the car home. Report number: 1708806839:37am Ward & Goettingen Stolen PropertyAfter dealing with a somnambulant driver, Officer Fitzpatrick and Sgt. Kumli were back on the street and dispatched to the 200 block of Ward to investigate a suspicious person. They arrived on scene and found an agitated young woman who was on probation for car theft with a search condition. She was placed in the patrol car and a search of her clothing revealed a stolen IPad, keyboard, several stolen mail items, stolen USB drives, and narcotic paraphernalia used to smoke methamphetamine. She was transported to the county jail and booked for a variety of violations. Report number: 170881186
Serious Incidents:7:52am Unit Blk. Cora FireIngleside Officers Cagney and Gomez were dispatched to help San Francisco Fire units at the scene of a house fire. When they arrived the blaze had already been extinguished. The residents of the home told the officers the fire started in a bedroom possibly from an overloaded electrical circuit. The officers relayed that information to Fire Department Investigators who took over the case.
