Officer Zandandel was flagged down by two men who said a woman nearby broke a
car window. One victim told the officer he was home in his apartment looking
out the window which has a view of the nearby Safeway parking lot. He said he
watched as the suspect, pushing a shopping cart, went up to his car in the
parking lot, took out a bottle, and then broke a back window on his car. A few
minutes later, and unknown suspect, reached in the broken window and took items
from the car and walked away. Meanwhile, the woman suspect exited the parking
lot and walked northbound on Mission Street. The victim, along with a witness,
followed the woman and called police. The victim signed a citizen arrest form
and the woman suspect was arrested for felony vandalism and taken to the county
jail. Officer Zandandel was unable to find the male suspect. Report number:
