Arrests:

5:01pm                Arleta & Bayshore              Hit & Run D.U.I
A motorist, in the car with his son, stopped at the red light on Arleta and Bayshore. Suddenly there was a bang. It was a motorist behind him who rear ended his vehicle. The victim exited his car and so did the motorist behind him. He gave her his license number but she refused to give him her driver’s license number and told him, “Don’t call the police”. She then got back into her car and took off. The accident victim followed while his son called police. She drove throughout the neighborhood and finally entered a dead end street. When she turned around to escape, the victim blocked her way with his car. The suspect rammed his car several times just as Ingleside Officers Salazar and Vo arrived. The officers noticed the woman driver was upset and crying and also had bloodshot eyes and other signs of possible intoxication. The officers conducted a roadside sobriety test which she failed. A breath test revealed a level slightly above the legal maximum allowable. She was taken to the county jail and booked for DUI, leaving the scene of an accident, and endangering a young child who was in the car. Report number: 170102578

Both suspects then ran to a waiting vehicle that sped away. Ingleside Officers Mendiola and DeBellis arrived and interviewed the victim and searched the surrounding area for the suspects.
