Arrests:

12:35 am   200 blk Huron             Battery
Officers Dilag and Lundy were dispatched to investigate a battery incident. The victim told the officers that the known suspect and her were involved in a verbal disagreement. The victim told the officers that the suspect became so angry at one point he grabbed her by the hair. The suspect then let go. The victim wanted to sign a citizen’s arrest for the incident. The suspect was located and taken into custody. Report number 1102319494

12:53 pm Visitacion/Schwerin  Warrant Arrest
Officer Ng was patrolling the area when he observed a vehicle go through a stop sign without stopping. The officer stopped the vehicle to issue the driver a citation. The driver gave the officer an interim license. Officer Ng conducted a DMV and computer check, and discovered that the driver had an outstanding $20,000 for Grand Theft. The driver was arrested and booked for the warrant. He was also cited for not stopping at the stop sign. Report number 110233161

Officers Hurwitz and Tam were on patrol when they noticed two suspects, a male and a woman. The officers noticed that one of the suspects was acting as a lookout. The officers decided to have a chat with the two. As the officers approached the suspects, they noticed that one of the suspects was attempting to hide something in her hand. The officers ordered the suspect to show her hands and discovered that she was holding a screwdriver which she dropped under her leg in an attempt to hide it. At this point the officers detained both suspects and conducted a search. The officers’ search yielded spark plus chips. These chips are commonly used by auto boosters to break car windows.       
The officers also found a credit card with another person’s name. The officers investigated further and found that the card belong to a victim of a robbery. The facts continued to stack against the two suspects. The officers found pry marks on a door. The officers rang the doorbell and discovered that the residents did not know any of the suspects. The officers conducted a warrant check and found that one of the suspects showed that she has prior burglary arrest. The suspect that had the chips and screwdriver was arrested and then cited for possession of burglary tools. Report number 110233478. This is "The Best Arrest of the Day"

Officer Polovina was sent to investigate a shots fired call. The officer met with the victim who told him that he was with his kids in the car, when he was being flagged down by a suspect. The victim told the officer that he did not want to stop, so he kept driving. The victim told the officer that as he drove by, he heard one gunshot. After the victim was out of the area he stopped and checked his car and located a bullet hole. The officer took pictures and booked them as evidence. No one was injured in this incident. report number 110232038

Officers Chang land Park were sent to investigate a battery case. The victim told the officer that he had just gotten off work and was walking by a chain link fence.  The victim told the officers that there was a suspect yelling. The victim did not think that the suspect was yelling at him, so he kept walking. The victim told the officers that the suspect came up from behind and pushed him. the  suspect then continued walking. Report number 110234498
