Arrests:

6:53 am     200 blk Teddy             Theft Arrest
S.I.T. Officer Jones responded to a call of a person stealing parts from under a car. Officers Larocca and Martinez arrived first and located a suspect that was fleeing the scene on a bike. The officers discovered that the suspect had a backpack full of tools. The suspect told the officers as soon as he was stopped that he found tools under the car. The officers advised the suspects of his rights and the suspect spoke to the officers telling them he only found the tools and that he was not stealing the catalytic converter. Ingleside officers went back to the area and located the victim vehicle and noticed that there were bolts from the catalytic converter that had already been removed. The suspect was found to have tools in his pockets and his hands were dirtied with car grime. The officers located the victim and were told the car was working fine when he last drove it last. The suspect kept claiming his innocence to the officers. What the suspect did not know was that a witness had seen him under the car and was the one who called the police. The witness was also able to id the suspect! Because of Ingleside officer’s fantastic response time and investigation, this suspect was charged with a felony and now guest of the County Jail. 12:30 pm  4600 blk Mission        Vandalism
Officers Toomey and Gamboa were sent to investigate a vandalism case to city property. On the way the officers observed a vehicle that was double parked and motioned for it to move. The driver of the vehicle ignored the officers. The officers went back to talk to the driver. The driver moved to an open space when he saw that the officers were coming back. The officers decided to speak to the driver.  The victim was a DPT officer and saw that the officers stopped a car. The victim told the officers that she had cited a vehicle and once finished continued to another vehicle to be cited. The victim said that the suspect was the driver she had cited just prior. The driver came up behind her 3 wheeler and stuck a knife in her rear tire. The suspect was the same one that the officers stopped and were talking to. The victim identified the suspect to the officers. The officers found a knife in a pocket and the suspect was arrested, and then cited at the scene for the vandalism. Report number 110215824  

12:50 pm 100 blk Juanita           Vandalism
Officer Marino was sent to investigate suspects smoking "weed" in public.  The officer responded to the location and found 4 subjects at the location sent to. The officer began her investigation to find out if these subjects were involved. One of the subjects had brass knuckles in her purse, another had Marijuana. The officer cited the different subject for each of their violations and released them at the scene. They must all appear in court to explain to the judge their actions. Report Number 110215959

5:00 pm     Unit blk Leland           Fraud
Officers Antonian and Khan were sent to investigate a fraud case in progress at a bank. The officers were given a description of a female suspect. The officers located the suspect on their way to the call and detained her. The reportee was a teller form the bank and told the officers that the suspect walked up to her window and requested to withdraw $1000. The teller thought that there was something suspicious and pulled the signature card for verification. The teller had the suspect sign three different times with none of the signatures matching the card. It was at that point that the teller called the account holder and was informed that she was the victim of a theft and her ID was stolen. The suspect was placed under arrest and booked with 5 felony counts! Report number 110216509

6:19 pm     700 blk Naples           Drug Arrest
Officers Hurwitz, Daggett and Sgt Rainsford were conducting a passing call request at a location known to be a hot spot for drug deals. The officers noticed a car parked with a person on the street side talking to the driver at the window. The officers recognized the person as a drug dealer they have dealt with before. The officers also knew that the suspect was on felony probation. The Sgt detained the driver of the car, while the officers detained the suspect. The driver was asked for ID and told the Sgt that she did not have any (yet she is driving). The driver told the Sgt that he could look in her purse to search for her ID. The Sgt found a glass pipe and a plastic bag with suspected methamphetamines.  The main suspect was now under arrest for selling drugs and violation of his probation. Report number 110216866

Officers Chang and Park were responding to a call of a vandalism that just occurred. The officers met with the victim who told them that a known female suspect and he had been involved in an argument over $20. The suspect was located and asked if she knew what happened. The suspect denied the incident. The victim signed a citizen’s arrest and the suspect was arrested and then cited for the vandalism and released. Report number 11217228

12:28 am   100 blk Joost              Robbery
Officers Contreras and Hermosura were sent to investigate a robbery case. The victim told the officers that he was walking home from the Glen Park BART station when he noticed two suspects following him. the victim told the officers that he kept looking back and that at one point the suspects crossed the street. The suspects said that at that point he thought the suspects went in another direction. The victim did not pay any more attention, when the suspects jumped out in front of him and grabbed him. One of the suspects hit the victim in the face and caused a laceration. The suspects were not able to pull the backpack but were able to pull his brief case away from him. The suspects fled. 8:00 am     1900 blk Sunnydale  Burglary
Officer LaRocca responded to a burglary in progress. The officers arrived and began a search of the area for suspects. A witness was the one calling and the officers were notified that the suspect had already fled taking a TV. The officer was able to determine that the point of entry was the front door. The officer contacted CSI and was told that they will be responding later in the day. The witness refused to give any more information out of fear of retaliation from the suspect. 8:30 am     Unit blk Tingley          Burglary
Officer Archilla was dispatched to investigate a burglary call. The victim told the officer that she left this morning after securing her home. When she returned she discovered that someone had broken into her home and burglarized each room in the house. CSI was notified and will be responding. The loss was over $2000 worth of electronics and property. Report number 110210559

9:00 am     100 blk Red Rock      Theft from Auto
Officer Muro was sent to investigate a theft case. The officer was met by three victims who told him that they were contacted by a witness and told that someone had broken into their cars. The victims all had items stolen from inside their vehicles and out. Report number 110214939

2:04 pm     Campbell/Brussels    Home Robbery
Officers Fung and Suguitan were sent to investigate a robbery incident. The victim told the officers that she was at home when she heard banging sounds from the backyard. The victim went to investigate but did not see anything. The victim walked back into the garage and left the door open. As the victim was putting something away, two masked suspects with guns came into the garage. One of the suspects grabbed the victim and put the gun to her head and demanded money. The victim, fearing for her 0life pointed to her purse. The suspects took the purse and ransacked the rest of the house. The suspects then fled. The total loss was $40 and a purse. There was more damage than loss. The victim was not injured.  CSI was notified and will respond. Report number 110213050

Police services Aide Zabarte prepared a report regarding a battery incident. the victim told the PSA that a known suspect punched him on the side of the face for no reason. The suspect is what the victim describes as a "Bully". Report number 110214848

9:37 pm     200 blk Rey                 Battery
Officers Morse and Ferronato were dispatched to investigate a battery incident. The victim told the officers that a known suspect slapped her one time on the face. The victim told the officers that the suspect had been drinking. The victim told the officers that the suspect and she are friends, but she wanted this incident documented and refused to sign a citizen’s arrest. The incident was documented.
