The next Ingleside Community meeting will be held at the Mission YMCA located at 4080 Mission Street on Tuesday, June 20, 2017 at 5 p.m. There will be light refreshments available to those who come to the meeting. All are welcome to attend.

Arrests:

8:59pm       3800 Blk. Mission                    D.U.I

A traffic collision whereby a PT Cruiser backed into a Nissan Frontier prompted dispatch to send Ingleside Officers Wise and Foltz to investigate. When the officers arrived they found the PT Cruiser driver stumbling and barely able to keep his balance. They also noticed the strong smell of alcohol. He admitted to drinking “too much”. The officers asked him to take a field sobriety test. He refused citing a knee injury. He requested medical help and an ambulance was arrived to take him to San Francisco General Hospital. At the hospital he agreed to a blood alcohol test. A phlebotomist drew a sample which was saved for evidence. The suspect was later taken to the County Jail and booked for DUI. It’s never a good idea to be lost in your cell phone while riding public transportation. But that’s exactly the situation for a young woman who was riding on the #8 Muni bus sitting in the rear of the vehicle. A young man, without warning, grabbed her cell phone from her hands and ran off the bus. He was last seen escaping through an alleyway towards Campbell Avenue. Ingleside Officers Tiffer and Alejandrino searched the surrounding area for the suspect without success. Report number: 170397729
