Arrests:
2:20pm 300 Blk. Gennessee Theft
An
alert citizen called police after witnessing a theft. The witness told dispatch
that he was following the suspect and gave a description of the vehicle and the
location. Ingleside Officers Washington and Leung, along with a Taraval Station
units, stopped the suspect’s vehicle at Bosworth and Chilton. The driver was
placed in custody. The witness told the officers he was sitting his car when he
noticed the suspect open the door of a neighbor’s vehicle and take the owner’s
handicap placard. The suspect then placed the placard in his vehicle and drove
off with the witness following. The suspect told the officers he took the
placard because he believed it belonged to his mother’s friend. However, the
real owner of the placard had just parked his car after returning from the
hospital. The suspect was cited for theft and released at the scene. Report

Ellsworth Discharging
a Firearm
Ingleside Officers Hornstein and Zubko were dispatched to a
call of “shots fired” in the area near the basketball courts on Ellsworth
Street. The officers interviewed a witness who told them that the occupants of
a black Mercedes, with dealer license plates, fired the shots before fleeing
northbound on Ellsworth. The officers found two shell casings at the scene and
brought them back to Ingleside Station for evidence. Report number: 170390240
4:50pm 100 Blk. Loehr Attempted Robbery
A woman exited her home and got into her car parked in front.
Soon, she noticed an older Toyota driving by, stopping at the corner, then
turning around and stopping next to her. She told Ingleside Officers Wells,
Dito, and Labson, that a man got out of the Toyota, pointed a gun at her closed
window, and said, “Open the window”. The victim said she was so scared she just
froze in the driver’s seat. The suspect then got back into the Toyota and sped

5:00pm 200 Blk. Teddy Robbery
Possibly the same robbers struck again a short distance away
from the previous robbery attempt on Loehr. A woman victim told Ingleside Officers
Tom and Anderson that a suspect exited a white Toyota holding a handgun and
placed it against her head. The man then grabbed a shopping bag from the
victim’s shoulder and entered the Toyota which sped away, but only for a short
time. The Toyota made a U-turn and sped back to the victim. The suspect got out
and tried to take the victim’s handbag from her shoulder. But the victim yelled
“help” and the suspect got back into the car, without the handbag, and sped
away southbound on Teddy. Report number: 170391044
