Arrests:

12:45am     Mission & Geneva           Malicious Mischief Vandalism
A ride share customer got an unexpected trip to the county jail. His journey started when he and a friend hailed a ride share company to take them from Colma to an address in San Francisco. The driver told Ingleside Officers Wong and Young that the two passengers suddenly decided they wanted to take a detour on their trip. The driver explained that once the destination is locked into the company’s computer it can’t be changed. The passengers became upset and they asked to be let out of the vehicle. The driver agreed and pulled over at Geneva and Mission where one of the passenger slammed and kicked the vehicle’s door. The driver called police and filled out a citizen’s arrest form. The suspect was transported to the county jail and booked for the vandalism. Report number: 170173682

Serious Incidents:

12:50pm     San Jose & Teresa           Aggravated Assault
A citizen was parking his van near his home when he noticed a strange man sitting inside his pickup truck that was parked nearby. As the victim drove closer the suspect started the truck and drove away. The victim called police while following his stolen truck. Ingleside Officers Ocreto, Luiz, Owens, and Shinbori responded. Near the intersection of Congo and Hearst Street the suspect, seeing the victim following him, suddenly stopped, put the truck in reverse, and rammed the victim’s van causing major damage. The suspect then took off. A short time later Officers Shinbori and Owens found the truck abandoned on the 200 block of Edna. Inside they found the ignition and steering column damaged by the thief. They also found a cell phone, screw driver, and pipe wrench belonging to the thief in the truck. Report number: 170174793
