Arrests:

9:43pm       Lowell & Brunswick                        D.U.I
Ingleside Officers Trumpp and Parker were sent to investigate a traffic collision at the intersection of Lowell and Brunswick. When they arrived they found two vehicles involved, one an older BMW and the other a pickup truck. They also found the drivers of the two vehicles standing next to each other. The driver of the pickup truck told the officers that the BMW driver made a quick left turn and struck his truck. The BMW driver attempted to flee but was detained by the other motorists and witnesses. One witness told the officers that he was trailing the BMW driver after seeing him blow through several red lights. That driver was very confrontational with police and his breath had a strong smell of alcohol. He failed several roadside sobriety tests and a computer check revealed he was driving with a suspended license. He declined to take a breath or blood alcohol test. The officers requested and received a warrant for a blood test which was conducted at San Francisco General Hospital. From there it was a short trip to the County Jail where he was booked for D.U.I and driving with a suspended license. Report number: 170144564

Arrests:

4:35pm       400 Blk. Cortland                            Burglary
A woman yelling for help prompted Ingleside Officers Ahern and Quinlan to stop their patrol car and investigate. The woman pointed at another woman fleeing eastbound on the south side of Cortland Avenue. Officer Quinlan took off in pursuit and with the help of several witnesses finally caught the suspect hiding in the alcove of a home on Anderson Street. The suspect proclaimed her innocence to Quinlan claiming she didn’t take anything. She was brought back to Cortland Street where the woman yelling for police help identified her. The victim, who owns a nearby store, said the suspect entered her business and asked to use the rest room. The business owner said yes but noticed, a short time later, the suspect leaving an area where her employees kept their belongings. One of the employees said her wallet was missing from her purse. That’s when the business owner ran outside and flagged down Officers Ahern and Quinlan. The wallet was found under a parked car on Cortland Street where the suspect discarded the object during her escape. The suspect had a warrant for her arrest for violation of her probation. She was transported to Ingleside Station and charged with burglary and the outstanding warrant. Report number: 170117044

9:45pm       500 Blk. Campbell                            Trespassing
Ingleside Officers Phillips and Canchola were dispatched to a home on the 500 block of Campbell to investigate a report of a trespasser. When they arrived the owner of the home said there was an unknown man sleeping on a couch in her in-law apartment. The officers went inside and noticed the apartment was in disarray with clothes and other items strewn around the premises. They found the trespasser asleep on a couch. They woke him up, handcuffed him, and brought him outside. The officers called the renter of the apartment who said he did not know the suspect and did not give anyone permission to enter his residence. The suspect was taken to Ingleside Station and booked for trespassing. Report number: 170118995

10:32pm     Brazil & La Grande                         Stolen Vehicle
A stolen 1995 Honda Civic, a favorite of thieves, was spotted by Ingleside Officers Jensen and Ortega. The officers stopped their patrol car and noticed the driver, unaware of the officer’s presence, was busy looking through his cell phone. Jensen and Ortega, turned on their lights and exited their patrol car and approached the suspect who was wearing all black clothing, black gloves and had a black ski mask on his head. The vehicle’s ignition had been punched out and a shaved key was used to operate the Honda. The suspect was taken to Ingleside Station and booked for car theft. The vehicle was towed to impound to await retrieval by its Daly City owner. Report number: 170117975

11:00pm     5500 Blk. Mission                            Terrorist Threats
Ingleside Officers Lozano and McCall were flagged down by three women one of whom said her son was asking erratically after ingesting the drug “ecstacy”.  The officers found the young man walking out of a nearby store. He was yelling, flailing his arms, exhibited aggressive behavior. Lozano and McCall called for assistance and tried to calm the suspect down but he resisted. The young man punched, bit, and tried to gouge Ingleside   Officer Hardy’s eye. It took the effort of several officers to finally place the suspect in custody after which he was transported to San Francisco General Hospital for treatment. Officer Hardy was also taken to the hospital for injuries to his face, a bite wound to his right hand, and numerous abrasions. Report number: 170118036

7:04am       200 Blk. Leland                                 Robbery
A report of a robbery prompted dispatch to send Ingleside Officers Phillips and Canchola to investigate. The officers contacted the victim, a woman, who said she was walking home when she reached the intersection of Delta and Leland Streets. She noticed a man pacing around looking down on the ground. He told the woman he was looking for his keys. She felt uneasy and picked up her pace walking home. The suspect started following and caught up to her on a walkway between Leland and Visitacion Avenues. He grabbed her purse as she struggled to keep possession. The struggle was short lived as the suspect gained possession of the victim’s purse and ran away to a waiting vehicle on Leland Avenue.
