Blk. Phelan Aggravated Assault
A report of a stabbing prompted dispatch to send numerous
Ingleside and City College police officers to the front of the school where
they found a young man bleeding from a wound to his back. He was taken to San
Francisco General Hospital where the victim’s wound was treated and before he
was released to his parents. Interviews with victims and witnesses determined
that a large group of young men attacked the victim near the main entrance to
the college. The suspects then ran off into the campus. Ingleside Officers
Sherry and Chang were in the neighborhood of Havelock and Circular Avenues when
they spotted 8 men matching the description of the suspects. The officers, with
help from other police personnel, were able to detain the suspects and recovered
the knife believed to be used in the attack. The 15 year old man possessing the
knife was taken to the Juvenile Justice Center and booked for aggravated

9:28pm 50 Phelan Robbery
A student left his classroom to use the restroom when he was
suddenly confronted by two men inside the bathroom. The victim told Community
College Sergeants Russo and Gaytan that one of the men accused him of assaulting
his sister. However, the victim said he didn’t know the suspect’s sister. One
of the two robbers then displayed a gun and ordered the victim to lie on the
bathroom floor. Fearing for his life, the victim complied. The suspects then
grabbed the victim’s backpack and fled. The loss was cash, credit cards, and
