Blk. Rome Arson
An argument between siblings resulted in the arrest of a
woman for arson. Ingleside officers Ocreto and Moreno were dispatched to the
home and found burn marks on the front door. The brother and mother of the
suspect said the daughter was locked out of the home by the brother who was
arguing with her after she took her mother’s car without permission. When the
daughter couldn’t enter the home she took out a lighter and tried to start a
fire at the front entrance. The suspect was arrested, charged with arson, and
transported to Ingleside Station for booking. Report number: 161028630

Blk. Mission Street Narcotics
Ingleside officers Hopkins and Campos were dispatched to an
address to investigate a report of man acting erratically and possibly
intoxicated. When the officers arrived they found the man slumped over an
outside table asleep with a light saber leaning against the table. The officers
woke the man up and asked for identification. A computer check revealed the
suspect was on felony probation for assault with a deadly weapon out of Merced
County. The officers conducted a probation search of the suspect and found a
glass pipe used for smoking narcotics, specifically methamphetamine. In a
shopping bag belonging to the suspect were several open bottles of liquor. He
was cited and released at the scene. Report number: 161028646

Prowl Burglary
A man was on the third floor of his home when he heard noises
coming from the second floor. He went downstairs and saw a strange man in the
standing in the stairwell leading to the third floor. The man told the resident
that he “was here to fix the sink”. The resident didn’t call a plumber and
before he could confront the suspect, he turned around and ran out the back
door, jumped over the ledge into the neighbors stairs, then ran down the stairs
onto Mission Street. Ingleside officers Archilla, Malatesta, and Filamor
responded and the resident guided them through the apartment where it was
discovered that two “GoPro” cameras missing. The officers determined the
burglar entered the residence through a living room window. Report number:

2:53pm 500 Blk. Precita Burglary
A woman woke up her husband after hearing someone on their
deck. She looked through the glass door and saw an unknown man standing on her
deck. She told the suspect “you better get out of here”, and he did. He ran
down the deck stairwell and fled in an unknown direction. Ingleside Officers
Young and Wong arrived and found the couple’s garage door open. Inside tools,
phone chargers, sunglasses, and other items were taken from the garage and the
couple’s vehicle parked inside. The officers discovered that the burglar
entered the garage through a side door. Report number: 161027717
