6:30pm Unit Blk of 29th
Street Attempted Robbery
An Uber driver dropped off his two male passengers and went
home. When he got home he noticed one of his passengers had left a cell phone
in his vehicle. The driver, following procedure, got back in his car and was
driving to Uber headquarters to drop off the lost phone. While on the way, he
got a call from his passengers pleading that he return the phone to them. The
driver said Uber procedures prevented him from doing that. The passengers
pleaded with him saying they needed the phone for work and offered $50. The
driver said okay and said to meet him at a restaurant on 29th and
Mission. Soon thereafter, the passengers showed up at the restaurant, accused
the driver of stealing the phone, and demanded its return without paying the
$50 reward. The discussion turned into a physical confrontation and one of the
passengers took out a knife and threatened the Uber driver. A food server,
seeing the confrontation, called police and Ingleside Officers Quinlan and
Siracusa arrived a short time later to investigate the incident. Report number:

Assault
A report of “shots fired” sent Ingleside Officers McMilton and
Hawkins to an address on Precita Avenue. The officers, along with other
Ingleside units, sped to the area and found a young male with a gunshot wound
to his back. Ingleside Officer Wells provided first aid until the ambulance
arrived which took the victim to the hospital. The officers found a blood trail
at the western end of Precita Park. Witnesses told the officers that the
suspect exited a black sedan and fired several shots into the park before
speeding away. Shortly thereafter, another victim, with a gunshot wound to his
arm, walked into San Francisco General asking for treatment. The case has been
assigned to the San Francisco Police Department’s Gang Task Force for
