The victim told Ingleside Officers Quinlan and Siracusa that an unknown suspect ran up behind her, grabbed her phone from her pocket, and then ran away south on Alemany Blvd. A witness, stopped in his car at the intersection of Ocean and Alemany, noticed the suspect drop the victim’s cell phone on the street during his escape. The victim retrieved the cell phone and called police. Ingleside Sgt. Martin retrieved a backpack, baseball cap, headband, and jacket belonging to the suspect in the driveway of a home on the 1700 block of Alemany. The items were booked as evidence and the cell phone was returned to the young victim.
