4:10pm       Mission/Randall           Robbery w/force
A dispute resulted in a brutal attack and robbery on a Muni vehicle. Witnesses told Ingleside Officers Wise and Der that the victim was talking to a woman he didn’t know when a man sitting behind them told the victim to “shut up”. When the victim made another comment, the suspect got up and hit the victim several times in the face, until the victim fell on the floor. Then the suspect kicked the victim in the face before reaching into his pockets and removing wallet, cash, and cell phone, and escaping off the bus. Officers Wise and Der summoned medical assistance which transported the victim to St. Luke’s Hospital for treatment. The officers also requested Muni security and other video for the investigation. A woman arrived at Ingleside Police Station to file an assault report against a friend. The victim told Ingleside Officer Coles that her intoxicated friend struck her several times with her purse while being escorted into her home the night before. The victim suffered a damaged eye socket and lip lacerations from the attack. The friend later apologized for the attack and offered to pay for the victim’s medical bills.
