For example, they patrol districts to prevent and detect crime; respond to calls for assistance; conduct criminal investigations; interact with the community to build cooperation and support; pursue and arrest suspects; enforce traffic and parking laws; write reports and maintain records; work with superiors, peers, and others as a team; prepare for and participate in planned events; prepare for court and give testimony; and fulfill other administrative duties when required. Arrests:

9:16pm       Mission/30th               Robbery
A report of a pepper spray assault on a Muni bus sent Ingleside Officers Noble, McMilton,Wells, Hoge, Thompson, De Defillippo, Kikuchi, Snadow, and Wise to investigate. When the officers arrived, they found a woman on the floor of the #14 Muni bus going in and out of consciousness. She appeared to be having a seizure and Officers Thompson and Wise began CPR while other officers summoned medical assistance. Thompson and Wise were able to assist the woman back into consciousness before medical help arrived. The officers interviewed witnesses and the bus driver who told them that when the bus pulled into the stop they noticed the woman lying on the floor of the coach. Two men tried to pick her up but other passengers told them to leave her lying there to prevent serious injury. The victim told the officers that someone pepper sprayed her, took her wallet and cell phone, and escaped off the bus. She was transported to St. Luke’s Hospital for treatment and evaluation.
