Arrests:

12:10am     3100 Blk Mission                   Aggravated Assault
Officers Ha and Jones responded as back-up to assist Sergeants Turner and Chu who witnessed a fight that was occurring between two groups of Hispanic males along the 3100 block of Mission Street. They turned on the lights and siren of their patrol car, but no one in the group acknowledged them. As they exited their vehicle, a few of the people involved began to quickly walk away from the scene and boarded a MUNI bus. The officers confronted the suspects on the bus and noticed that both men appeared to show signs of intoxication and smelled heavily of alcohol. Both suspects refused to leave the bus, so they were hauled out and detained, pending further investigation of the incident. The officers then approached the remaining members who were part of a cleaning crew conducting maintenance work on the building. The cleaning crew stated that the suspects approached them after a hose had fallen from the roof and accidently splashed the suspects with water. It was at this point a verbal and physical altercation began where one victim was hit in the head with a glass bottle. The victim had noticeable blood running down his forehead, but refused medical treatment and also refused to press any charges. Both of the suspects that were detained at the scene were brought to Ingleside station and a search of their belongings a small amount of methamphetamine was discovered. The suspect who was determined to be the primary aggressor and who had thrown the bottle at the victim was booked. The other suspect was cited for drug possession and released.
