4:10am       London/Persia     Stolen Auto
Officers Young and Ha were patrolling the area of Persia and London in a marked patrol car when they noticed a suspicious vehicle driving in front of them. Based upon their experience and the fact that a check on the vehicle license plate showed it as stolen, the officers decided to conduct a traffic stop.  All of the occupants of the vehicle were cooperative.  The driver was taken into custody and booked at Ingleside Station.   The vehicle’s owner was contacted and informed that his vehicle would be available for pick-up at Auto Return.  Report Number: 150457854
6:44pm       Alemany/Tingley Warrant
Officer Ly was patrolling in a marked SFPD vehicle when he encountered a BMW with an expired registration, but with a current 2015 tag affixed to the rear license plate. He initiated a traffic stop and questioned the driver on why his registration was expired, but yet he still had a valid tag. The driver stated that he did not know and that his mechanic was the one who placed it there. Upon conducting a records check for the driver, it was noted that he had an outstanding warrant out of Alameda and that his license was suspended.  He was placed under arrest and transported to Ingleside, while the vehicle was towed. A man riding his bike was suddenly confronted by a suspect who grabbed the front wheel and pulled the victim off the bike and onto the ground. The suspect then got on the bike and escaped westbound on Ocean Avenue. The victim was uninjured and did not require medical attention. Report number: 150457672
 
7:00pm       3600 Blk Mission Agg. Assault w/Knife
Officers Wells and Lucia were dispatched to SF General on reports that a stabbing victim was admitted to the hospital. Upon arrival, social workers reported that the victim was transported from St. Lukes after he walked into the ER there. At both hospitals, the victim was uncooperative and refused to provide a statement to social workers. The victim was already out of surgery, but still heavily sedated and was not able to provide a statement to the officers. The two officers then headed over to the possible location of the stabbing and searched the area for any evidence, suspects and video surveillance but were not successful in their search. 2:30am       Russia/Madrid              Robbery
Ingleside Sgt. O’Connor and Officer Sullivan were on patrol when they were flagged down by a man who said he had just been robbed and pointed to a fleeing vehicle on Madrid Street. The officers radioed for assistance and then began pursuing the vehicle as it traveled throughout the neighborhood.  They abandoned the vehicle near Santos and Sunnydale and the occupants scattered in all directions. Sgt. O’Connor and Sullivan discovered identifications and other items, including a cell phone, belonging to the occupants and others inside the vehicle. The officers used this information to apprehend one of the occupants who was wanted for failing to appear at a San Jose court hearing, She was taken to the County Jail and booked for the warrant while the robbery investigation continues for this event and one that occurred shortly before on Mission and Russia, involving a man and woman possibly driving the same vehicle. 12:46am     600 Blk Naples                Weapon                                   Ingleside Officers Lee, Franceschi, Scott, and Hardy were on routine patrol when they spotted an older Honda and with illegally tinted windows and a tail light violation. The officers stopped the car and noticed several swords and a firearm on the backseat floor. The driver, who was on active probation out of San Mateo County, had a set of brass knuckles in his pocket. He also admitted that the weapons belonged to him. The officers also discovered a stun gun in the center console along with a glass pipe with Methamphetamine residue. The driver was taken to Ingleside Station and booked for parole violations, illegal possession of weapons, and narcotics. Report number: 150451618

An older pickup truck swerving in the middle of Cordova Street caught the attention of Ingleside Officers Seavey, Padilla, and Sgt. Barajas. The officers followed the vehicle which traveled a short distance and watched as the driver parked, opened the hood, adjusted something underneath, then got back into his truck and drove eastbound on Munich, then northbound on Naples where the driver drove through a stop sign at Rolph. The officers continued following until the driver pulled into the gas station at Naples and Geneva where the officers approached the driver and asked him to step out of the vehicle. He was asked for his driver’s license and produced a California ID. He told the officers his driver’s license was suspended. He was also on active probation, with a search condition, for theft and narcotics violation out of San Mateo County. The officers searched the car and found a quantity of Methamphetamine package for sale hidden in the engine compartment. In one of his pants pockets, the officers found bound bundles of cash. The officers then went to his home on the 600 block of Athens and received permission from the suspect’s mother to search the premises. Inside they found more narcotics, ammunition, and a significant amount of cash, the suspect was taken to Ingleside Station and booked for narcotics violations, being a felon in possession of a weapon, and vehicle code violations. A man on his way to visit his sister was robbed of his wallet. The victim told Ingleside Officers Carew and Stark he had just exited his parked car and was walking toward his sister’s home when a man approached carrying a pistol. The victim told the suspect, “Take it easy. I’ll give you whatever you want”.  The suspect responded by saying, “since you’re so cooperative, I won’t do anything”. The suspect then reached around and removed the victim’s wallet taking approximately $300 in cash and an IPhone. Then the suspect turned around and ran to a waiting vehicle which drove away north on Sunrise Street. Report number: 150448126

A Muni passenger reading on his IPhone was robbed at gunpoint. The victim told Ingleside Officers Hart and Joseph that a fellow passenger punched him in the face and grabbed his IPhone. When the victim stood up and tried to take back his phone, the robber pointed a semi-automatic pistol at him and the exited the bus. Report number: 150450116

7:53am       Alemany/Onondaga                  Att. Robbery                 Ingleside Officer Baldovino was on routine patrol when he spotted two students that he originally thought were horsing around on the corner of Alemany and Onondaga. As he drove by, one of the students, a young girl screamed, Help, he’s stealing my phone”. Officer Baldovino stopped the car and exited the vehicle, the young suspect started running away eastbound on Onondaga and then South on Mission where Baldovino lost sight of him. Baldovino radioed the description of the suspect and Ingleside officers Archilla and Phillips found the suspect hiding under a car on Mission. He was arrested and taken to Ingleside Station for booking. Report number: 150445003


10:14am     Kern/Brompton                      Burglary Tools 
A citizen called police after spotting what he thought was the man who, a few weeks before, had burglarized his car. The citizen was calling from the same parking lot where the previous crime occurred. Ingleside Officers Aslam and Jackson responded and questioned the victim and suspect. It turned out the man didn’t match the description of the suspect in the previous burglary. However, the man was driving a vehicle without an operators permit and was in possession of tools commonly used to burglarize vehicles. The suspect was cited for driving without a license and the tool was confiscated pending further investigation. Report number: 150446556

A woman was awakened by the sound of a crying infant from the upstairs apartment. From her bed, she noticed that her front door was open. She woke up her fiancĂ© who got up and found that his back pack containing a cell phone, wallet, driver’s license, and miscellaneous cards were missing. The woman got up and joined her fiancĂ© searching through the apartment and discovered that her two laptops were missing, along with a bicycle from the garage. Ingleside Officer McMilton arrived and discovered that a sliding glass door at the back of her home was ajar and may have been the burglar’s entry point. Report number: 150444776
 
 
2:30am       South Hill/Canyon                  Robbery w/Knife
An early morning jogger was the victim of a violent robbery. The man told Ingleside Officer Marshall that he was jogging north bound on South Hill when three men exited a black Audi and surrounded him. One of the suspects asked him, “What do you have on you?”. The victim replied “I have plenty on me”. One of the suspects then said, “Give me everything you have” and struck him on the back with a hard object. The victim threw his wallet on the ground and the suspect picked up the wallet before asking for the victim’s watch. However, the victim didn’t want to surrender the watch at which time one of the suspects took out a double bladed knife and slashed the victim’s left arm. The suspects then re-entered the Audi and drove away. The victim was transported to UCSF for treatment of his wounds. Report number: 150444641

A man waiting for the bus was brutally attacked and robbed by two unknown assailants. The victim told Ingleside Officers Lee, Franceschi, and Scott that he was talking on his cell phone when he noticed two men approaching him. One of the suspects grabbed the victim’s cell phone but the victim refused to let go and fought back. It was then that the other suspect took out a 3” bladed knife and stabbed the victim in the right rib cage. Both suspects then took off and the victim returned to his nearby home where he noticed that he was seriously injured. He drove himself to the hospital for treatment. Report number: 150448320
