The
City and County of San Francisco invites you to join a highly respected police
department and serve the citizens of one of the most beautiful cities in the
country. San Francisco Police Officers perform a wide variety of duties to
promote public safety and security, prevent crime and enforce the law. Police
officers perform a number of essential functions. For example, they patrol
districts to prevent and detect crime; respond to calls for assistance; conduct
criminal investigations; interact with the community to build cooperation and
support; pursue and arrest suspects; enforce traffic and parking laws; write
reports and maintain records; work with superiors, peers, and others as a team;
prepare for and participate in planned events; prepare for court and give
testimony; and fulfill other administrative duties when required. This is much
more than a job; it is an opportunity to build a career of which you can be
proud.

Blk Naples Weapon Ingleside
Officers Lee, Franceschi, Scott, and Hardy were on routine patrol when they
spotted an older Honda and with illegally tinted windows and a tail light
violation. The officers stopped the car and noticed several swords and a
firearm on the backseat floor. The driver, who was on active probation out of
San Mateo County, had a set of brass knuckles in his pocket. He also admitted
that the weapons belonged to him. The officers also discovered a stun gun in
the center console along with a glass pipe with Methamphetamine residue. The
driver was taken to Ingleside Station and booked for parole violations, illegal
possession of weapons, and narcotics. Report number: 150451618
An older pickup truck swerving in the middle of Cordova Street
caught the attention of Ingleside Officers Seavey, Padilla, and Sgt. Barajas.
The officers followed the vehicle which traveled a short distance and watched
as the driver parked, opened the hood, adjusted something underneath, then got
back into his truck and drove eastbound on Munich, then northbound on Naples
where the driver drove through a stop sign at Rolph. The officers continued
following until the driver pulled into the gas station at Naples and Geneva
where the officers approached the driver and asked him to step out of the
vehicle. He was asked for his driver’s license and produced a California ID. He
told the officers his driver’s license was suspended. He was also on active
probation, with a search condition, for theft and narcotics violation out of
San Mateo County. The officers searched the car and found a quantity of Methamphetamine
package for sale hidden in the engine compartment. In one of his pants pockets,
the officers found bound bundles of cash. The officers then went to his home on
the 600 block of Athens and received permission from the suspect’s mother to
search the premises. Inside they found more narcotics, ammunition, and a
significant amount of cash, the suspect was taken to Ingleside Station and
booked for narcotics violations, being a felon in possession of a weapon, and vehicle
code violations. Report number: 150453727
