For example, they patrol districts to prevent and detect crime; respond to calls for assistance; conduct criminal investigations; interact with the community to build cooperation and support; pursue and arrest suspects; enforce traffic and parking laws; write reports and maintain records; work with superiors, peers, and others as a team; prepare for and participate in planned events; prepare for court and give testimony; and fulfill other administrative duties when required. Arrests:

4:10am       London/Persia     Stolen Auto
Officers Young and Ha were patrolling the area of Persia and London in a marked patrol car when they noticed a suspicious vehicle driving in front of them. Based upon their experience and the fact that a check on the vehicle license plate showed it as stolen, the officers decided to conduct a traffic stop.  All of the occupants of the vehicle were cooperative.  The driver was taken into custody and booked at Ingleside Station.   The vehicle’s owner was contacted and informed that his vehicle would be available for pick-up at Auto Return.  Report Number: 150457854
6:44pm       Alemany/Tingley Warrant
Officer Ly was patrolling in a marked SFPD vehicle when he encountered a BMW with an expired registration, but with a current 2015 tag affixed to the rear license plate. He initiated a traffic stop and questioned the driver on why his registration was expired, but yet he still had a valid tag. The driver stated that he did not know and that his mechanic was the one who placed it there. Upon conducting a records check for the driver, it was noted that he had an outstanding warrant out of Alameda and that his license was suspended.  He was placed under arrest and transported to Ingleside, while the vehicle was towed. Report Number: 150459822

Serious Incidents:

12:16am     Ocean/Cayuga     Robbery
A man riding his bike was suddenly confronted by a suspect who grabbed the front wheel and pulled the victim off the bike and onto the ground. The suspect then got on the bike and escaped westbound on Ocean Avenue. The victim was uninjured and did not require medical attention. Report number: 150457672

7:00pm       3600 Blk Mission Agg. Assault w/Knife
Officers Wells and Lucia were dispatched to SF General on reports that a stabbing victim was admitted to the hospital. Upon arrival, social workers reported that the victim was transported from St. Lukes after he walked into the ER there. At both hospitals, the victim was uncooperative and refused to provide a statement to social workers. The victim was already out of surgery, but still heavily sedated and was not able to provide a statement to the officers. The two officers then headed over to the possible location of the stabbing and searched the area for any evidence, suspects and video surveillance but were not successful in their search.
