Serious Incidents:

3:08am                500 Blk Sawyer            Robbery with gun
Upon arriving home from work in the early hours of the morning, as the victim exited his vehicle he was approached and confronted by a suspect covered in dark clothing and a mask.  The suspect cornered the victim at gunpoint and demanded his belongings.  Fearing for his life, the victim handed over his wallet and cell phone.  After the robbery, the suspect ordered the victim back into his car and then fled on foot.  Officer Hermosura and Lucia responded to the call where they interviewed the victim and searched the area for the suspect based on the description the victim provided.  No results were found in the search.  The victim was not injured during the incident.  Report Number 150299838

7:24pm                 200 Blk Wilde               Hot Prowl Burglary
During the early evening hours, while in her ‘Airbnb’ rented unit on the second floor, the victim of a hot prowl burglary came face to face with an uninvited intruder.  As the victim sat on her bed in her bedroom, she heard a loud banging noise coming from the rear of the unit.  Moments later, the door to her bedroom opened up and saw a male suspect standing in the door way asking the victim if she lived there and then immediately proceeded to tell her that he was there to paint.  The suspect then quickly shut the door and went down the hall.  Unsure if the owner was expecting a worker, the victim sent a text message to the owner to alert her of the situation. After discovering that no one was expected to come to the property to work, the victim left the bedroom and found the back entrance door broken and open.   Officers Phillips and Hart were dispatched to the call where they immediately searched the rest of the premise with negative results. After the owner of the residence had returned, she found that her iPad and laptop were stolen from her private room in the residence, which was on the same floor.  The bottom floor which was under construction and owned by the same owner had the rear door and window broken as well.  CSI was notified and took control of collecting evidence at the scene. No one was injured in the incident.   Report Number 150302118

11:08pm               100 Blk Prague             Robbery
The victim of a robbery was fortunate enough to suffer only scrapes and bruises after being robbed and beaten by three men in the middle of the street. As the victim walked down the middle of the street, the first suspect, covered by a hooded sweatshirt, approached him from the front and demanded the victim’s money.  After handing the suspect his cash, two additional suspects hiding from behind parked cars came up and pushed the victim to the ground and began punching him.  As the victim went to cover his head to protect himself, the initial suspect then pulled the victims wrist watch from his arm.  Shortly after all three suspects finished robbing the victim they entered a white, late model Lexus vehicle driven by another awaiting accomplice and drove off.  A neighbor witness, later interviewed by Officer Carew described hearing screams outside her residence and then seeing three hooded men attacking and beating a man in the middle of the street. The witness immediately called for help but verified that she would not be able to identify the suspects. Officer Carew and Stark responded to the robbery call and later interviewed the victim and witness.  Both Officers then searched the area for the suspects with negative results. The victim suffered minor abrasions to his arm and knee.  Report Number 150302663
