Arrests:4:02am Unit Blk St. Mary’s Ave. Recovered AutoIngleside Officers DeFilippo, Kikuchi, and Sullivan were patrolling near a particular Mission Street address that has long been a trouble spot for neighbors and police. In a driveway, near the address, Ingleside Officer Sullivan spotted a 1992 Honda Accord that was stolen the day before. He parked his patrol car and notified the other officers that he was going to observe the Honda and wait for the suspected car thief to return. The wait wasn’t long as the suspect soon departed the troublesome address and walked across the street then entered and started the Honda’s engine. All three officers quickly swept in and stopped the suspect from driving away. In the Honda’s ignition was a shaved key used to steal vehicles. A backpack in the back seat contained several more shaved keys along with a pry bar used to break into vehicles. A records check revealed the suspect was on probation for car theft and had a suspended driver’s license. He was taken to Ingleside Station and booked for several crimes.
