Arrests:
12:18pm Geneva/San
Jose D.U.I
Officer Jones and Hoge were at the intersection of Geneva
and San Jose investigating a traffic collision and had set up a flare pattern
to keep all other vehicular traffic out of the area until the investigation was
complete. While gathering information for the police report they noticed a Grey
Honda Civic cross the flare pattern and continue to drive towards them. Fearing
the vehicle was going to cause another accident, the officers tried to verbally
alert the driver by yelling at him and waving their flash lights at him to get
his attention. Luckily, the driver stopped in time but would not move. The
officer went over to talk with him and noticed an open can of Budweiser beer in
the center console and an unopened 12 pack of beer on the passenger floor
board. He told the officers that he had a few beers earlier in the day. The
driver performed a variety of Field Sobriety Tests and failed them all. He was
ultimately charged for driving under the influence and booked. Report Number:

Blk Morse Burglary
A call of a vehicle break-in prompted Officers Trujillo,
Wong and Chang to respond to the 100 block of Morse Street. The victim told the
officers that he came out to his vehicle this morning and to his surprise found
a stranger fast asleep inside. The suspect immediately awoke and stated,
“Sorry! I’m your friend! This is my car, dude!” and tried to get out of the
car. The victim/owner wasn’t letting the suspect get away and physically held
him there until police arrived. The officers searched the suspect, who was
already on probation for auto theft, and found an array of burglary tools
commonly used to break into cars. He was arrested and charged with the auto burglary
and possession of burglary tools. Report Number: 150205493
