The victims told the officers that the suspect was making his escape on a bicycle headed towards Mission Street from Richland Avenue. It just so happened that Officers Cahill and Campos were driving past the intersection on their way to the same call when they spotted the suspect. The officers tried to stop him but the suspect jumped of his bicycle and began to flee on foot. After a brief foot chase and struggle, Officers Cahill and Campos were able to get the suspect into custody. The victims told the officers that they initially heard a loud noise coming from their enclosed front yard. When they went to investigate they found the suspect in their yard snooping around. They then confronted the suspect who said he was there looking at their bicycles because he thought they were for sale. The victims tried to keep the suspect on scene until the police arrived but the suspect managed to jump the fence and make his escape. The suspect was booked for trespassing, vandalism and resisting arrest. Report Number: 150204047.9:48pm Mission/Silver Drugs/Warrant ArrestEagle eyed Officers Quintero and Lustenberger were cruising along Mission Street when they spotted an individual they knew who was wanted for a robbery incident that occurred on a prior date and time. They swung back around and stopped at the bus stop located at Mission and Silver Avenue and confronted the wanted subject and his friend. Suddenly, the unknown friend took off from the scene running away from the officers. Officer Quintero attempted to chase down the subject in his car. After a brief cat and mouse chase, Officer Quintero was able detain the subject about a block away. Turns out this subject had a “No bail” warrant for his arrest and did not want to go to jail. Both subjects were taken to Ingleside station and booked accordingly.
