7:39pm Ocean/Howth Drugs/Warrant Arrest
Officers Lucia and Hackard were on patrol when they noticed
a vehicle without a front license plate in the area of Ocean and Howth Street.
The officers pulled the vehicle over for the minor traffic violation and made
contact with the occupants inside. When they started to speak to both the
driver and the passenger they smelled a strong and distinct odor of marijuana
emanating from inside the vehicle. After
further investigation they found both subjects to be in possession of marijuana
and cocaine with the driver having two outstanding warrants for his arrest. The
passenger was cited and released for the drug offense and the driver was
ultimately arrested for having the warrants and being in possession of
