Blk Geneva Resisting
Officers Lozano and McCall responded to a possible auto
boost in progress. Dispatch provided a
detailed description of the suspect and the officers detained an individual
matching the description nearby. They
asked the suspect to provide some identification and he placed his backpack on
the floor and ran down Geneva Avenue.
The officers were able to catch up with him and placed him in handcuffs
pending further investigation.
The original 911 caller was unavailable and the officers
explained to the suspect why they had detained him. A search incident to an arrest located
several glass pipes in his backpack used to ingest crack cocaine. After making a positive identification of the
suspect, the officers cited and released him at the scene. Report Number 150195054
Serious Incidents:
1:54pm Harkness/Girard Robbery
Officers Espinoza and Archilla were dispatched to assist the
victim of a robbery. They met with the
victim who told them that he was walking on Harkness when two unknown males
exited a tan vehicle, approached him from behind, wrestled him to the ground
and snatched his bag from him. The
suspects then ran back to the vehicle and drove off on Harkness. The victim provided a description of the
suspects and the vehicle and officers searched the area unsuccessfully for
them. An ambulance arrived and
transported the victim to the hospital for further evaluation. Report Number 150196422
