Serious Incidents:

 

3:12am       Sunrise/Sawyer                       Robbery

Two victims almost made it home before getting robbed at gun point. Officers O’Connor and Naser responded to the area of Sawyer and Sunrise Way and met with both victims who said they just got off work and were parking their car on the street when three suspects with guns surprised them and pulled them out of the car. One suspect pulled the male victim out of the driver’s seat and pushed him toward the rear of the vehicle and struck him across the head with the gun and shoved him to the ground. The suspect then racked the gun and pointed it at the victim. Afraid for his life the victim stayed lying on the ground while the suspect searched through his pockets taking his cellphone and wallet. The two remaining suspect dragged the female victim out of the passenger seat and pushed her to the ground. The suspects snatched her purse out of her hands before all three ran away on foot. 1:35pm       Tompkins/Putnam                  Attempted Robbery

A man walking to work was almost became a victim of a robbery. The victim told officer Cahill that he was walking to work and took a staircase headed down to Putnam and Tompkins Avenue. Half way down, the victim said he felt someone grab his rear pants pocket, where he had his cell phone. The victim said the suspect was unable to take his cell phone out of the pocket. The victim then turned around and saw the suspect standing behind him on the staircase and said, “Give me your cell phone”.  Seeing no weapons in the hands of the suspect, the victim replied, “No”, and quickly descended down the stairs. The suspect did not pursue the victim and ran back up the stairs. Report Number: 150038103
