Arrests:
4:30pm 200 Blk London Assault
Officers Dilag and Khan responded to the 200 block of London Street on a possible Assault incident between roommates. They spoke with the victim who said she had walked past her roommate’s room when that roommate called her a derogatory name. The victim went to confront her and a loud argument followed. During the argument the roommate/suspect grabbed the victim and put her in a choke hold and began choking her for what the victim said was ten minutes. The assault ended when the suspect pushed the victim to the ground. The victim complained of pain to her neck and lower back as a result of being pushed to the ground. Medics were immediately requested to the scene. The officers spoke to two other roommates who witnessed the incident and observed the suspect attacking the victim. The victim told the officers that she wished to press charges for the assault. The suspect was subsequently arrested and charged for the assault. The victim was transported to St Luke’s hospital for further treatment. Report Number 121053116.
