Arrests:

10:48pm     Unit Blk Chenery             Arson
Officers Padilla and Seavey were on patrol when they observed a male and female in a verbal altercation.  They exited the patrol vehicle and detained the subjects.  The male became combative and uncooperative.  As officers attempted to place him in handcuffs he threw what appeared to be a gas cap into the street area.  The officers were able to control him and place him in handcuffs.  They then spoke with the woman who had been arguing with the male who told them that she was looking out her window because she heard a large bang.  She observed the detained suspect remove a gas cap to a parked vehicle and replace the cap with a white cloth in the gas tank. The suspect then attempted to set fire to the vehicle with a lighter and that is when the witness called the police.  The witness identified the suspect as the male who had attempted to set fire to the vehicle and signed a citizen’s arrest to have him arrested.  The suspect was taken into custody and transported to Ingleside station for further investigation.

The officers located the owner of the vehicle who confirmed she parked and secured her vehicle and that the gas cap was securely attached to it.  The officers removed what appeared to be a sock from the tank for evidence.  At Ingleside station the suspect was found to be wearing only one sock and the sock removed from the vehicle matched the sock he was wearing.  At the instruction of Sgt. Deshong, he was booked for the attempted arson.  Report Number 121051201.Because of the fast response of the officer it yielded an arson arrest this is the        ***Best Arrest of the Day***

Serious Incidents:
1:18am       Eugenia/Mission            Agg. Assault
Officers McMilton and Peregrina were on patrol when they were flagged down by a man who pointed toward a victim who was bleeding from various parts of his body.  Several other Ingleside officers responded to assist.  An ambulance was immediately summoned and the victim was transported to the hospital for further medical treatment.  Attempts to interview the victim was unsuccessful due to his uncooperativeness and being heavily intoxicated.  Officers took pictures of his injuries as evidence.

Several other Ingleside officers searched the area for video surveillance and were able to locate a video which showed the two men in the altercation.  They provided a description of the suspect and officers canvassed the area unsuccessfully for him.  The officers ordered a copy of the video for the Ingleside Special Investigations Team.  Report Number 121051201
