Serious Incidents:
3:20pm 200 blk Oneida Robbery
Officer Yuen responded to the scene of a robbery. When Officer Yeun arrived he met with the victim who gave him the descriptions of the three suspects and the vehicle. The victim stated he was walking, while looking at his phone, when two suspects approached him from behind. One suspect grabbed his right arm in attempts to grab his phone. The second suspect then pushed the victim to the floor causing him to fall to the ground and dropping his phone. While the victim was on the ground, the second suspect pulled the victims gold chain from his neck. Both suspect then fled on foot to a waiting vehicle driven by a third suspect and drove off. 4:30pm Bosworth/Lyell Robbery
Officers Castillo and Kabanuck were dispatched to a call regarding a robbery. Upon arrival, officers met with the victim who stated he was walking while holding his phone in his left hand. When the two suspects walked towards him one of them said, “hey man” and smiled. The suspect then slapped the victim’s left hand causing him to drop his phone. The other suspect grabbed it and fled the scene. The victim then grabbed the first suspect and demanded his phone back, after a brief struggle, the suspect was able to get up and run away. 11:15 pm Silver/Alemany Robbery
Officer Apodaca and Hermosura were on patrol when a person in a vehicle approached them and stated “I need help.” Officers then advised the vehicle to pull into the parking lot to gather more information. The individual stated she was leaving work, when an unknown male approached her from behind and demanded her purse, which was over her right shoulder. The suspect stated in Spanish “Give me the bag!” and the victim replied “I don’t have anything.” Fearing for her safety, she gave the suspect her bag. The suspect also demanded her phone, which she handed over. The suspect then told the victim to face away from him, so she would not be unable to see which direction he fled the scene. 11:45 pm Crescent/Andover Robbery
Officer Howard spoke to a victim who had responded to Ingleside Station to report a robbery. The victim stated he was waiting for the bus at the intersection of Crescent and Andover Street. While waiting at the bus stop, the victim was approached by three suspects, one of whom pointed a small hand gun at him and demanded money. Fearing for his life, the victim pulled out his wallet from his pocket and handed it over. The other two suspects then assaulted the victim before running away headed East on Crescent towards Ellsworth Avenue. The victim said he was not hurt and stated he would be able to recognize the suspects if he saw them again. Report Number 120987342.
