8:12am 700 blk Myra Recovered Vehicle
Officer Morgante responded to a complaint of a man sleeping in a vehicle. He arrived on scene and observed the male sleeping in the vehicle. The officer conducted a record check of the vehicle and revealed it was stolen. Several other Ingleside officers responded as back up and the male suspect was removed from the vehicle. When the officers searched the suspect they found special keys that were used for a carjacking. The suspect was also in possession of multiple cellular phones and credit cards which were not in his name. At the instruction of Sgt. Garrick, the suspect was arrested and booked for possession of stolen property. Report Number 120894349. ***The Best Arrest of the Day***
7:14pm 1400 blk Noe Burglary
Officer Burke and several other Ingleside officers responded to a complaint of a person attempting to pass a fraudulent prescription. The pharmacist advised the officers that an unknown suspect had presented a prescription to fill. When the pharmacist contacted the doctor’s office she was told the prescription was false. The suspect exited the store and the victim provided the police with a description of him. Sgt. Alvarez observed a male exit the store who matched the description from the victim. The possible suspect quickly boarded a vehicle and fled the scene. Ingleside officers responded and effected a traffic stop. They detained the suspect and the victim was brought to the scene where she identified him as the individual who had presented the prescription positively. The suspect was placed under arrest. A record check revealed that his license was suspended. The officers conducted an arrest search and located several forged prescription forms and identifications inside of the vehicle. 6:20pm Mission/Leese Att. Robbery
Officers Gabriel and Apodaca responded to investigate a robbery. The victim said he was walking on Mission when an unknown male suspect was approaching him in the opposite direction. The victim also noticed a vehicle driving alongside him. When the suspect got close, he suddenly punched the victim in the face. Another suspect exited the vehicle, and both suspects repeatedly punched and kicked the victim as he fell to the ground. The suspects searched through the victims’ pockets but did not find anything to take. Both suspects then boarded the vehicle and fled the scene. An ambulance was called for the victim who received and bumps and bruises. The victim provided the officers with a description of the suspects and their vehicle. The officers canvassed the area but were unable to locate either. Report Number 120896878
7:20pm 500 blk Dublin Robbery
Officers Ocreto and Quintero were sent to investigate a robbery case. The victim said she was walking down the street when three males approached her from behind. One of the males stood as a lookout while the other two grabbed her cellular phone and her purse. The victim struggled with the suspect to keep her purse, but was unable to do so. All three suspects then fled the area. The victim was not injured and was unsure if she could recognize the suspects. She provided a description and officers searched the area to no avail.
