Arrests:

7:30pm       Unit blk Castle Mnr    Noise Complaint
Officers Morrow and Naval responded to a call of a noise complaint on the unit block of Castle Manor. They met with two residents, who live across the street, and advised the officers that they were annoyed with the loud music coming from an apartment across the way. These residents wanted to file a complaint and sign a citizen’s arrest against this resident for the excessive noise. Officer Tam and Gomez arrived on scene as well and advised Officers Morrow and Naval that they had already responded out to this location today and advised the resident to keep the noise level to a reasonable level. According to Officers Tam and Gomez, the resident complied at the time and lowered the music level. Officer Morrow conducted a record check of the location which revealed three recent incidents where the known resident was cited and/or arrested for playing loud music. Officer Morrow also found out that within the last six months there were 14 noise complaints from this same address.  All the officers made their way to the apartment and could hear the loud music themselves. They knocked on the apartment door attempting to speak with the resident. The resident opened the door and appeared to be sweating and very agitated. The officers then asked the resident to step out onto the hallway to discuss the noise complaint. The resident refused and began retracting from the doorway and back into his apartment. Fearing that the resident might be attempting to grab a weapon, the officers grabbed him. The suspect began fighting with the officers trying to break free from their grasp. After several moments, the officers were able to control the suspect and placed him in handcuffs. The suspect was then transported to Ingleside Station and booked for the continuing noise offense and for resisting. Officer Gomez sustained a cut to his hand as a result of the physical altercation. Repot Number 120935216.

9:05pm       Unit blk Natick             Vandalism
Officers Kabanuck and Castillo responded to the unit block of Natick Street to meet with a city employee. Dispatch advised the officers that the reporting party, a DPT (Department of Parking and Traffic) employee, had ordered a tow truck for a vehicle that had already been hooked up to the back of the tow truck and that the owner of the vehicle being towed was on scene trying to ram his vehicle into the DPT vehicle. The officers along with multiple Ingleside units arrived and saw a group of people standing on the sidewalk yelling at each other. Officer Castillo saw a Blue Audi hooked up to the tow truck and its rear bumper pressed up against the White city vehicle. Officer Castillo spoke with the city employee who told her that he responded to a complaint of a vehicle blocking an alley on the unit block of Natick Street. The employee located the vehicle and proceeded to cite it and requested a tow. The tow truck driver arrived and hooked up the vehicle. Due to the fact that the Blue Audi was an all wheel drive vehicle, the tow truck driver had to attach a dolly system in order to tow the vehicle. As the tow truck driver was leaving, the owner of the Blue Audi and his female companion stepped out in front of the tow truck preventing it from leaving. The owner told the female to stay in front of the tow truck while he went around and got in his Audi. The suspect then started the engine and attempted to reverse off of the tow truck. The tow truck was dragged several feet back, which caused the Audi’s rear bumper to hit the city vehicle. The owner/suspect made several attempts to drive off the dolly but was unsuccessful. The owner/suspect was transported to Ingleside Station where he was booked on numerous counts of vandalism. His female companion was released from the scene. Report Number 120935288.

Serious Incidents:

4:20pm       1700 Blk Church          Theft
Officers Chang and Park went to 1700 block of Church Street regarding a theft of an Iphone. They spoke with the victim who was sitting at a table out in front of a restaurant. She placed her Iphone on the tabletop directly in front of her. She then turned momentarily to look the other way and when she turned back, she was startled by an unknown suspect who snatched her phone from the table and ran away. The victim was then approached by two witnesses who saw the whole thing and attempted to chase after the suspect but lost him in the area. They provided her with their information just in case she needed it. The victim told the officers that her Iphone did not have any mobile tracking software, therefore could not track it. Report Number 120934638

7:00pm       1900 Blk Sunnydale     Assault
Officers Trail and Peregoy responded to a possible burglary on the 1900 block of Sunnydale Avenue. When they arrived they observed a resident standing outside with her infant daughter and told the officers her daughter was pepper sprayed. The victim stated someone threw pepper spray through her window. The officers went to investigate and saw that the front first floor window had been broken as if something had smashed through it. Officer Hom entered the residence and located a 4oz can of mace, which had been punctured and was still leaking. An anonymous witness approached Officer Trail and informed him that a female suspect was there earlier in the day and was engaged in a verbal argument with the resident. It was divulged that the unknown female suspect was the ex-girlfriend of the victim’s new boyfriend.  The victim informed the officers that she did not know who the unknown suspect was and never seen her before. No witnesses at the scene knew who threw the can of pepper spray through the window. Officer Trail requested medics to the scene, who treated and released the daughter. Repot Number 120935028
