Officer Hurwitz was on patrol when she noticed a vehicle with a cracked front windshield and an object obstructing the rear view mirrors. The officer affected a traffic stop on the vehicle. She noticed two individuals inside, and made contact with them. The driver then provided proper drivers license, registration, and insurance. A computer check on the driver revealed he had an outstanding felony warrant. The driver was asked to step outside the vehicle and he complied.  He was placed under arrest for the warrant and cited for the traffic violations. The driver was transported and booked at Ingleside Station. Report Number 120784853

3:45pm       3300 blk Mission           Robbery
Officer Morrow was dispatched to a grocery store regarding a possible shoplifting case.
When he arrived, he spoke with the security officer who had just taken the suspect into custody. Security stated he was conducting store surveillance walking through the aisles as he saw two people taking several items from the deli section. One of the suspects then concealed the items in his hoodie. The security watched the suspects walk pass the registers without showing any intent to pay. Once outside, the security officer approached the two suspects and asked to see proof of payment. The security officer asked both suspects to walk back into the deli counter to confirm payment with the clerk. Upon reaching the second set of doors to the store, one of the suspects screamed “RUN!”  The security officer jumped in front of the exit grabbing one suspect.  The other suspect started to pull the security’s hair, throwing items, biting his arm and spitting on his face.  Security walked the suspects into the back of the store for further investigation as they waited for officers to arrive. One suspect was cited and released at the scene, whereas the other was transported and booked at Ingleside Station.  Report Number 120929491
