Arrests:

5:43pm       1500 blk Sunnydale     Warrant
Officers Johnson, Campos, Burke, and Sgt. Alvarez were responding to execute a search warrant on the 1500 block of Sunnydale Avenue. Before executing the search warrant, officers conducted surveillance in the area in order to get as much information before proceeding. They noticed the resident of the search warrant driving into a parking lot on Sunnydale Avenue. Officers approached cautiously and notified the suspect that they were going to conduct a search warrant on his residence. When officers arrived, they noticed the front door was open with two unknown males standing inside. Officers then advised the two unknown males they would be doing a search warrant of the property. A narcotics K-9 was brought to the scene to search the premise. Upon searching, the K-9 alerted officers to multiple locations inside the bedroom. Searching thoroughly in the bedroom, Officer Johnson located a black camera case, and inside, there appeared to be two pieces of white rock-like substance wrapped in paper. Base on the officer’s training and experience, it was immediately recognized as cocaine. Officers then notified the suspect that they located illegal narcotics inside her room and that she was under arrest. She was transported and booked at Ingleside Station.  The narcotics were hand delivered to the Hall of Justice.  Report number 120923879

9:42pm       200 blk Brookdale        Warrant
Officer Apodaca and Seavey were patrolling when they noticed a vehicle that was on the lane closest to the center median. As the driver continued driving, the vehicle’s two left tires crossed the double solid yellow lines. Officers then conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle. They approached the vehicle and asked the driver for his driver’s license. The driver was unable to provide one because it was suspended. Officers ran a computer check of the driver to confirm his statement and found out he also had an outstanding warrant. The officers also ran a computer check on the passenger, which showed he was clear. The driver was asked to exit his vehicle and placed in handcuffs. Officers then conducted an arrest search inside the vehicle. Officers located a small plastic baggy with a crystalline like substance inside. With the officer’s training and experience, he recognized it to be methamphetamine. The passenger was asked if he knew anything about the narcotics inside the vehicle and said he did not.  He told the officers they could search him. Upon searching the passenger, officers did not locate any narcotics or illegal substances. The passenger took custody of the vehicle and left the scene. The driver was transported and booked and Ingleside Station. Report number 120924178
