8:00pm       Duncan/Diamond Hts    Robbery
Officer Chew was dispatched to a robbery.  He met with the victim who told him that he was walking down the street when he was approached by a male who asked him for directions. While talking to him the male pointed a handgun at him and told him to give him his belongings.  The victim emptied his pockets and the male then boarded a vehicle which drove off down Duncan.  The victim said he was not injured and that he would be able to recognize the suspect if he saw him again.  He provided a description of the vehicle and suspect and officers began canvassing the area for them.

Officer Lustenberger was able to track the victim’s cellular phone to the Market area and several units responded to the location.  Officers Castro and Nastari advised that they had a vehicle matching the description and its occupants detained.  The victim was transported to the area where the suspects were detained and he identified the suspect as the person who had robbed him.  The suspects were transported to Ingleside station pending further investigation.  A search of the vehicle located a loaded handgun, possibly used in the robbery, which the officers seized.  Both suspects were booked at Ingleside station.  Officers took pictures of the vehicle and the items seized which they booked into evidence.  The vehicle was towed to the police impound lot.
