12:57am 200 blk Blythdale Att. Stolen Veh
Officers Seavey and Padilla were dispatched to the call of someone attempting to steal a vehicle. The reportee told dispatch that a known suspect had broken the window of a vehicle and was in the driver’s seat attempting to start it. The reportee also provided the suspect’s name and said that he had stolen items from him in the past. The officers arrived and detained two males standing near the vehicle in question. One of the males was identified as the individual the reportee called about. The officers observed a broken window to the vehicle that the caller had witnessed the known suspect damage. The vehicle was missing a front license plate and the rear plate did not match its identification number when the officers conducted a record check. The record check also revealed the vehicle was stolen. An attempt to locate the vehicle’s owner was unsuccessful. The vehicle was towed to the police lot at the instruction of Sgt. Chan. Both suspects were transported to Ingleside station pending further investigation.
A search of the named suspect found several burglary tools on his person and a record check revealed he had three outstanding warrants. He was booked at Ingleside station for the warrants, the damage to the vehicle and possession of burglary tools. Report number 120770965
