6:00pm 3400 blk Mission Drug Arrest
Officers Hurwitz, Johnson and Sgt Alvarez were driving in the area of the 3400 Block of Mission Street. This area is where ingleside officers have made drug arrest in the past. As they were driving by, Officer Hurwitz immediately recognized a male suspect whom she has had previous contact with and knew he was on active probation with a warrantless search and seizure condition. The officers stopped and decided to make contact with him and find out why he was in this area. The officers approached the suspect and he immediately recognized Officer Hurwitz! She then asked him if he had anything illegal in his person. The suspect motioned to his left pants pocket. Officer Hurwitz recovered an eyeglass case which contained methamphetamine. The suspect was immediately arrested and placed in handcuffs. Officer Johnson continued the search and recovered three vehicle keys which have been filed down. The officers know that people who steal and/or break into cars will commonly possess filed down vehicle keys. Based on the suspect’s criminal history, Officer Hurwitz believed this suspect possessed these keys with the intention of entering vehicles without permission. The keys were seized along with the drugs and the suspect was ultimately booked for possession of drugs. Report number 120803027. This is

4:00am 5200 blk Diamond Heights Robbery
Officers Pai and Araujo responded to the 5200 block of Diamond Heights on a robbery case. Upon arrival, they met with the victim who stated she was by herself in the area at 4:00am in the morning. The victim stated she was from out of town and got separated from her friend when they came into San Francisco. While walking, she was approached by an unknown subject who began punching her right cheek several times with a closed fist. The victim fell to the ground but did not lose consciousness. The subject then pulled on her purse with force and told her, “Give me your purse”. The victim was in fear for her safety so she stopped struggling with him and released her purse. The suspect fled the scene with the purse and its contents. The victim received Non life threatening injuries. The officers assisted the victim in contacting a family member for a ride back home. 10:00pm Unit blk Leland Burglary
Officers Hauscarriague and Pederson responded to an audible burglar alarm on the unit block of Leland Street. Upon arrival, they met with a resident who heard an audible alarm coming from a store across the street. The resident went to investigate and saw three male suspects carrying a large Black object away from the store. The suspects loaded the object into the back of their van and fled the scene. The Officers entered and cleared the store of any remaining suspects. Officer Pederson made contact with the store owner, who responded to the scene. The store owner advised the officers that the unknown suspects got away with an ATM cash machine that he had inside his store. Officer Pederson located a pry bar outside the store which was used to force open the metal gate. At the time of the investigation, it was undetermined as to how much money the ATM machine contained. CSI was contacted to respond and process the scene. The store owner advised the officers that he had a surveillance system inside the store that could have recorded the incident. The Officers advised him that the recorded data would be retrieved at a later date. Report number 120804423
