10:50am 1100 blk Cayuga Burglary
Officers Shugars and Paras responded to investigate a burglary case. The officers interviewed the victim who told them they left home and secured all the doors and windows when they returned they discovered that among items stolen was 18,000 in Chinese currency and $3000.00 in U.S currency. There was also electronic equipment and jewelry that was stolen. CSI was contacted and will respond to process the scene. report number 120797141
1:50pm 1500 blk Geneva Robbery
Officers Apodaca and Gabriel were sent to investigate a robbery that had just occurred. The officers located the victim that was on the ground with numerous injuries. The victim was being tended to by the SFFD for numerous cuts and contusions. The victim told the officers that he and a friend had been to a bar after work to have a drink. The victim told the officers that when they left around 1:30 am the plan was to walk to the first guys’ house then the second guy would walk a couple a short distance homes. After the first subject went home he told officers that he received a call from his friend advising him that he had just been beat up. When the victim’s friend came to check on him he learned that two suspects had demanded his money and beat him with bats.
The victim told the officers that when he exited dropping his friend off the two, bat wielding, suspects approached him demanding his money. There was no monetary or property loss. The victim was transported to SF General Hospital where he remains in stable condition. The officers are aware that merchants in the area have surveillance equipment and will be responding in the morning to check on possible evidence. Report number 120794965
2:20pm 4900 blk Mission Aggravated Assault
Officer Howard prepared a report regarding a fight that just occurred. The victim stated that he and an unknown suspect began staring at each other without turning away. The suspect began to get angry and an argument broke out between the two. The victim then walked to his car with the suspect following close behind. The victim opened his trunk and pulled out a bat for protection. As the two were struggling for possession of the bat, the victim fell to the ground that is when the suspect punched the victim several times in his face and fled the scene. The officer searched the area for the suspect to no avail. The officer was able to obtain a surveillance video from a nearby business which captured the incident. Report number 120796331
