Arrests:

5:40pm       2600 Blk Alemany        Vandalism
Officers Fung and Suguitan were dispatched to a call regarding vandalism to multiple vehicles. Dispatch informed the officers that the suspect was seen walking on Alemany and breaking car windows with a chain. The officers spotted a suspect who matched the description dispatch provided. The officers ordered the suspect to drop his weapon and stand his ground. The suspect did not comply, and had a blank stare on his face as he continued to walk toward the officers.  The officers shot a super sock round (non lethal weapon), and ordered the suspect to once again drop his weapon and stand his ground. The suspect complied and followed all the officers’ orders. Multiple units arrived at the scene and canvassed the area for damaged vehicles. The suspect was taken into custody, and booked for felony vandalism and resisting arrest. Report Number 120645982

9:45pm       900 Blk Russia              Threat
Officers Dominguez and Carrasco responded to the call of a person with a gun. When they arrived, the suspect fled the scene but the victim gave details of the event to the officers. The victim said he was arguing with the suspect when the suspect pointed a gun at the victim. Fearing for his safety, the victim ran away. As officers were provided a description of the suspect, a mug shot of the suspect was shown to the victim. He confirmed his identity and officers checked locations where he was believed to be.  A local police agency was contacted and they found the suspect in one of his suspected residences. He was detained and Officers Dominguez and Carrasco went to go take custody of the suspect. The suspect was booked at Ingleside and charged for making a criminal threat to cause bodily harm or death and brandishing a firearm towards the victim. Report number 120646560

12:43pm     100 blk Leland              Threat/Counterfeit Currency
Officer Ng was dispatched to a bakery to respond to a criminal threat and the use of counterfeit money. The victim told Officer Ng that the suspect came in and attempted to buy food using a fake 100 dollar bill. The victim examined the bill and the suspect immediately said “you can’t do that”. The victim determined it was counterfeit and took it away. The suspect told the victim he was going to kill him and walked away. Other employees have stated that they have seen the same man before trying to use fake money. Ng was able to obtain a fake $5 bill that the suspect used prior to this incident. The victim also showed Officer Ng a surveillance tape of the bakery where the suspect was clearly seen. All of the evidence was booked at Ingleside Station and the Secret Service was notified of the use of counterfeit currency. Report number 120642176

2:00pm       Unit blk Del Monte       Identity Fraud 
Police Services Aide Cato was on station duty when a victim of identity fraud came in to report their case. The victim has been receiving numerous letters from creditors confirming the opening of new accounts under his name. He told them that all of the accounts were fraudulent and did not give anyone permission to open those accounts. The victim has not suffered any financial loss. Report number 120645346

6:00pm       Unit blk Cortland         Vandalism
Officers Curry and Sanchez were dispatched to responded to an incident of vandalism. A local library had its windows shattered by an unknown suspect. The suspect smashed the windows to the front and back doors of the library. The manager of the library told officers that there were no cameras outside of the library and all of the doors were locked when they located the vandalism. Officer Curry took photos of the damage and booked them as evidence at Ingleside Station. Report number 120644417

9:17pm       3300 blk Mission          Theft
Officers Hom and Castillo responded to a theft incident at a local supermarket. The victim told officers that while walking towards to the entrance of the supermarket, an unknown suspect ran behind her and snatched her cell phone and wallet. The suspect immediately fled the scene after stealing the items from her hands. Nearby cameras showed the incident, but the images were too small and not clear enough to identify anyone. The victim stated that she would have difficulty in identifying the suspect. Report number 120646504

10:50pm     Hanover/Guttenberg    Robbery
 Officers McMilton and Ferronato were dispatched to respond to a robbery incident. The victim was walking home when two unknown suspects approached him. One of the suspects pointed a gun at the victim and told him to empty his pockets. Fearing for his life, the victim took out his iPod and cell phone. The suspects snatched only the iPod and both fled the scene. When asked if he could identify the suspects, he stated he probably couldn’t. Report number 120646720

11:39pm     100 blk Ellsworth         Defrauding a Taxi Driver
Officers Baldovino and Otaguro responded to a taxi driver who told officers that the suspect did not pay their taxi fare. The victim picked up the suspect at Daly City and drove her to Ellsworth. When arriving at the destination, the suspect told him she had no money and was going to grab money from her home. The victim told her that she had to leave something as collateral. She told him no and tried to exit the vehicle. The taxi driver locked the doors and told her he was going to drive her to the police station. He started to drive off, but the suspect kept trying to open the door. He then heard noise from the car and stopped. The suspect ran out and fled from the taxi. Multiple cars were hit when the suspect was trying to open the doors while the car was still in motion. The officers notified all the owners of the damaged cars. Report number 120646946
