Arrests:

12:25am              Cortland & Coleridge St        D.U.I.
Officers McMilton and Peregrina were dispatched to a driver who appeared to be asleep behind the wheel.  The officers arrived on scene but found the intersection clear.  Dispatched advised that the witness had followed the vehicle to another location.  This time the vehicle stopped in the middle of the street.  The witness left the scene prior to the officer’s arrival, but had provided a description and license plate of the vehicle.  The officers responded to the second location and found the vehicle stopped mid-block in the street, blocking the flow of traffic.  The officers conducted a traffic stop on the vehicle and contacted the driver.  The driver had obvious signs of being under the influence of alcohol such as bloodshot, watery eyes.  He also smelled strongly of alcohol.  The driver told the officers that he had consumed two beers earlier in the evening.  Further investigation, including Field Sobriety Tests, confirmed the officer’s suspicions that the driver was under the influence of alcohol.  The driver was arrested and transported to County Jail.  A records check of the driver revealed that he was on probation for D.U.I.  Report 120381409
