8:00am       300 Blk Harvard St               Theft
Officer Curry responded to a report of theft.  The victim had parked her vehicle, but could not remember if he locked the doors before leaving it unattended.  The victim returned to the vehicle the following morning and discovered that his GPS had been stolen.  There were no signs of forced entry into the vehicle.  An installed security camera captured the incident on tape.  The officers viewed the tape and saw the suspect walking up and down the street.  The suspect stopped at the victim’s vehicle and pulled on the handle.  Discovering that the vehicle was unlocked, the vehicle entered the passenger side and sat down in the passenger seat.  The suspect exited the passenger side, walked around the vehicle, and entered the driver’s side of the vehicle.  The suspect sat in the driver side of the vehicle for a couple minutes, and then exited. 9:15am       700 Blk France St                  Stolen Vehicle
Officer Frisk responded to a report of an attempted theft of a vehicle.  The victim parked and secured his vehicle before leaving it unattended.  When the victim returned, he discovered that a suspect had broken his driver side door lock and entered the vehicle.  The vehicle’s ignition had been punched as if the victim had attempted to start the vehicle.  Report 120292577

10:30am     Unit Blk Sunnydale Ave        Burglary
Officers Johnson and Obot were dispatched to a report of burglary.  The victim was in the upstairs bedroom of his residence trying to get some sleep.  The victim heard a noise coming from the kitchen window.  The victim walked downstairs to make sure the window was locked and secure, which it was.  The victim did not see anyone in the area.  The victim returned to his bedroom to lie down.  The victim again heard a noise coming from the kitchen, which sounded like glass breaking.  The victim again walked downstairs and saw three suspects running out of the front door of the home.  The victim examined the kitchen window and saw that it had been pried open.  Nothing was missing from the home.  Report 120292680

PSA Heckenberg-Tognozzi took a report regarding false personation.  The victim received an email regarding a credit card that he had not authorized opening.  The victim further investigated and discovered that a suspect had opened a checking and savings account in his name.  There were also several fraudulent charges to a credit card that did belong to the victim for over three thousand dollars.  The US Postal Service also contacted the victim, telling him that the suspect had requested an address change.  Report 120289740

Officer Fung responded to a report of burglary.  The victim told the officer that she had parked her vehicle in her garage.  She left the vehicle locked.  Upon her return, she found that a suspect had smashed a passenger side window and stole a jacket.  Report 120293484

5:08pm       Unit Blk Carrizal St               Personation
Officers Chew and Morrow were dispatched to a report of fraud.  The victim received a phone call regarding an outstanding bill.  The victim had never authorized the opening of the account.  The address listed for the account was also in a city that the victim had never lived in.  Report 120293735

6:04pm       Unit Blk Phelan Ave              Theft
SFCCPD Officer Edais took a report regarding theft.  The victim stored all of her personal belongings in a cabinet, which she secured by locking it.  The victim accidentally left the keys near the cabinet, and left the room.  Upon her return, the victim realized that her keys were missing.  She checked the cabinet and found that her belongings had been stolen.  Report 120291171

6:26pm       1200 Blk Sunnydale Ave        Vandalism
Officers Chew and Morrow responded to a report of vandalism.  The victim was in her home when she heard a loud banging sound.  The victim ran downstairs and discovered that her front door had been kicked in.  The suspect did not enter the residence.  Report 120293951

8:56pm       100 Blk Brookdale Ave          Assault
Officers Barajas, Phillips and Johnson were dispatched to a report of a possible stabbing victim.  The officers contacted the victim, who was visibly upset.  She had a small cut on her face and told the officers that she had been punched multiple times.  The victim had signs of being under the influence of alcohol.  The victim told the officers that she was hanging out with the suspect for about an hour, drinking.  The victim and suspect got into a heated verbal argument that soon escalated.  The suspect suddenly punched the victim in the face.  The victim fell to the ground where the suspect continued to punch her several more times.  The suspect fled the scene and the victim called police.  An ambulance responded to the scene and transported the victim to the hospital for treatment of her injuries.  Report 120294410

9:00pm       3300 Blk Mission St               Theft
Officer Leong responded to a report of a possible theft.  The victim parked her vehicle in a parking lot, and left it unattended while she went shopping.  Upon her return, the victim placed her grocery bags in the vehicle, but left her vehicle unattended a second time when she went back into the store because of a mistake on her receipt.  The victim returned to her car and found that a driver side window was broken.  Nothing was taken.

While Officer Leong was taking this report, he was flagged down by a second victim.  The victim said that he had parked his vehicle in a parking lot, and went to work.  While at work, the victim was notified that another vehicle in the same parking lot had been broken in to.  Concerned, the victim checked on his car and discovered that a passenger side window had been smashed.  Several items were stolen from inside.  Reports 120294313 and 120294448
