2:04am 3200 Blk Mission Battery
Officers Lundy and Baldovino responded to a report of a battery. The officers contacted two suspects, both of whom appeared to be under the influence of alcohol. The suspects told the officers that they are friends but had gotten into an argument over soccer. One of the suspects punched the other in the face two times. The second suspect picked up a nearby garbage can and threw it at the first suspect. Both parties insisted on pressing charges against the other and signed citizen’s arrest forms. 3:55pm 100 Blk Ney St Warrant
Officers Campos and Burke were on patrol in plainclothes when they made consensual contact with a suspect. From their conversation, the officers discovered that the suspect was on probation with a search condition. A computer check revealed that the suspect was also wanted on an outstanding warrant. PSA Cato took a report regarding false personation. The victim reported that a suspect is using her social security number to open several fraudulent accounts. The victim is currently working with three credit agencies to remedy the problems caused to her credit from the identity theft. Report Number 120181748
3:50pm 700 Blk Naples St Burglary
Officers Paras and Shugars were dispatched to a report of a burglary. The victim told the officers that he uses the premise for business purposes only. When the victim arrived, he discovered the outside gate closed, but the front door ajar. There were obvious signs of forced entry around the door frame. Several items were stolen from inside the premise. Report Number 120182229
10:00pm Ellsworth & Jarboe Robbery
Officers Baldovino and Lundy responded to a report of an attempted kidnapping. The victim told the officers that she was walking when a vehicle pulled up alongside her. The suspect exited the passenger side of vehicle and grabbed the victim by both arms, causing small bruises. The suspect attempted to push the victim into the vehicle, but the victim struggled with the suspect and was able to get out of his grip. The victim attempted to reach for her cell phone that was in her back pocket so she could call 911. The suspect then grabbed the victim’s cash, which was protruding out of the victim’s pants pocket. The suspect jumped back into the vehicle, and fled. The victim recognized the suspect, but did not recognize the second suspect who was driving the vehicle. Report Number 120182348
