Arrests:

2:53pm       200 Blk Chenery                    Public Intoxication
Officer Bernard responded to assist Sgt. Miller on the 200 block of Chenery Street in regards to a subject who was drunk and vandalizing property. The reportee stated that the suspect had broken a planter, and was striking parked cars as he passed by. The officers later discovered the suspect walking in circles in the middle of the intersection at 30th and Chenery Streets. The suspect was unsteady on his feet, had a strong breath of alcohol, and spoke with a slurred speech. The officers elected to take him into custody because the suspect was not only a threat to others, but also to himself. The suspect was transported to Ingleside Station and later booked at the County Jail.  Report Number 120216088

4:00pm       600 Blk Campbell                  Battery and Theft
Officer Ocreto was dispatched to investigate a male that had been assaulted. When the Officer arrived, the victim informed the Officer that he was approached by an Asian male. The male suspect asked the victim why he was throwing rocks at his window and then punched him twice. The victim fell to the ground and the suspect grabbed his cell phone and smashed it. The suspect then threatened the victim and fled the scene. Officer Ocreto was informed that other Officers had responded to a call earlier about a man complaining about rocks being thrown at his window. A cold show was conducted with the victim and the suspect who had made the earlier report. The victim confirmed that the man who made the earlier report was the one who assaulted him. The suspect was arrested and transported to Ingleside Station.  Report Number 120089857

7:59pm       400 Blk Nevada                     Narcotics
Officers Tam, Padilla, Seavey, and Hurwitz were conducting a passing call of a public staircase on the 400 Block of Nevada Street, which is known as a common place where people loiter, drink, and use illegal drugs. While searching the stairs, the officers recognized a man from prior police work. The suspect was drinking what appeared to be an alcoholic drink, and the officer detained him.  A record check revealed that the suspect was on felony probation with a search condition. The officers knew that the suspect had a criminal history, and they had received complaints from anonymous citizens that he was trafficking methamphetamine. The officers conducted a probation search of the suspect, in which they found a bag containing a white powdery substance believed to be methamphetamine. The suspect was transported to Ingleside Station pending further investigation. A booking search was performed on him at the station. A glass smoking pipe, and a large amount of money was found on the suspect. Presumptive tests were also performed on the suspected methamphetamines, which yielded positive results. Officer Padilla and Seavey hand delivered the methamphetamine to the narcotics drop at 850 Bryant Street. The suspect was charged with possession of methamphetamine with intent to sell.  Report Number 120216878

12:03pm     3000 Blk Mission                  Terrorist Threats
Officers Chang and Park responded to a call concerning a fight on the 3000 Blk of Mission Street. The suspect was being verbally abusive towards the employees of the building and was making threats. The manager of the building stated that the suspect had walked into the building, smelling of alcohol and marijuana and demanded a large amount of money that was owed to him. The manager said that the suspect had been recently terminated from his position, that he had worked less than two months, and that the amount of money that he demanded was more than what was owed to him. The suspect was threatening the employees when a security guard asked him to quiet down and leave the building. It must also be noted that the suspect had gone to the building a week before claiming to destroy company vehicles, but the police were not called. The suspect eventually walked away before police arrived at the scene.  The officers advised the building manager to call the police if the suspect showed up again. No arrests have been made at this point.  Report Number 120215557
         
12:12pm     100 Blk Brookdale                 Burglary
Officer Obot was on patrol, when he was dispatched to a call regarding a burglary. When he arrived to the scene, Officer Obot met with the victim. The victim claimed that two days before (March 14th), she and her family had left their home, and returned on March 16th when they observed that the rear window bars were dangling from a bolt, and the front door had scuff marks near the door knob. The victims noticed that electronic items, along with some furniture were missing from her home. She also stated that she had left her home for a few days so that the Housing Unit could repaint and de-mold the unit. She claims no one else had the keys to her unit, or permission to enter her unit. Officer Obot proceeded to speak with possible witnesses, but no one answered. The housing authority was questioned, but they stated they had not been on the property since March 12th. No arrests have been made at this point. Report Number 120215610

2:00pm       1800 Blk Sunnydale               Theft
Officers Peregoy, Hopkins, and Trail were dispatched to investigate an act of vandalism. When they arrived, the victim told the Officers that her car battery was stolen. The victim believes thief was an old friend of hers because she has had problems with him before but she had no proof of this. The victim then provided the officers with a good description of the suspect. She was provided with follow up information.  Report Number 120087259

4:00pm       100 Blk Holladay                   Theft
Officers Thompson and Altamirano were dispatched to investigate a burglary. The victim told Officers that his bicycle had been stolen from his garage. The victim said that he might have accidently left the garage door unlocked because there were no sign of forced entry.  SFPD’s Crime Scene Investigations Unit was not called for lack of printable surfaces.  Report Number 120089324

6:36pm       600 Blk Persia                        Burglary
Officers Gomez and Kerlegan were dispatched to a call regarding a burglary. At the scene, they met the victim who claimed that he had a large amount of money taken from his lock-box. On February 26th, the victims went to work, and returned the following day and discovered that his bedroom door was unlocked. He discovered that his money was stolen from his lock-box. The victim also stated that there a kitchen knife was found next to his lock-box. When asked if any one of his roommates or family members that he lived with knew where he kept his money, he answered that only his sister did.  The victim was provided with follow up information. 7:30pm       1400 Blk Shotwell                  Burglary
Officer Castillo was dispatched to investigate a burglary. When she arrived, the victim told the Officers that five bicycles were stolen from her garage. She had been notified earlier by a neighbor that her garage and front door were open. The victim did not know who might have stolen her bicycles. There were no witnesses and she was provided with follow up information. Report Number 120090434

9:30pm       1600 blk Geneva                     Assault
Officers Dilag and Khan were dispatched to investigate an assault. When they arrived, they were informed by witnesses that the suspect has just fled the scene in a silver Honda. They witnesses also told Officers that they saw the victim and the suspect bump into each other during a soccer game. The victim was knocked down and when he got up the suspect punched him in the face knocking him unconscious. The victim fell to the ground, and then the suspect kicked him in the face. The suspect then fled the scene. The victim told the officers that he only remembers being punched in the face. The Officers called for medical assistance but the victim declined further medical attention. The Officers were given a description of the suspect and the victim said he could identify him again if he saw him. They searched the area unsuccessfully for the suspect and took pictures of the victim’s injuries which were booked into evidence.  Report Number 120090600

11:28pm     Sunnydale/Hahn Street         Robbery
Officers Hom and Hauscarriague were on patrol when they were dispatched to the intersection of Sunnydale Avenue and Hahn Street regarding a robbery. Upon arrival, they met with the victim who claimed to have been robbed by an unknown male suspect on a Muni bus. Her right index finger was slightly bleeding. The victim claims that she was riding the Muni bus near the rear doors when the suspect approached her, grabbed her purse and ran out the back door.  The victim gave chase to the suspect until she lost sight of him at a golf course. Despite losing sight of him, the victim still went around looking for him until she spotted him again, chased him again, and then lost sight of him again. This was when she proceeded to call the police. Officer Hauscarriague later escorted the victim down the path she believed the suspect to have fled. Her purse was found adjacent to the Sunnydale housing projects. No contents from the victim’s purse were missing or stolen. No arrests have been made at this time.  She was provided with follow up information.  Report Number 120217616
