Incident Date:
Wednesday, March 14th, 2012

Arrests:

7:00am       1500 Blk Sunnydale     Firearm
Sgt. Alvarez and several other Ingleside officers were in search of a parolee at large who was possibly residing at a local address.  They located the suspect, who Sgt. Alvarez knew from prior police contacts, and detained several other individuals inside the home.  The suspect was positively identified by his California Identification Card and was transported to Ingleside station pending further investigation.

Officers took pictures of the premises and proceeded to conduct a parole search of the area where the suspect sleeps.  They located a firearm, various amounts of United States currency, a white powdery substance in a plastic baggie believed to be cocaine and a digital scale.

Officer Byrne responded with his SFPD Canine Dog, Jasper, who alerted to various items in the room.  Inside a backpack, officers located a white plastic baggie containing cocaine base (with off-white colored rock like substance), another baggie containing a green leafy substance (believed to be marijuana), and U.S. Currency in coins and dollars.  The backpack contained indicia bearing the suspect’s name.  The officers took pictures of all the evidence which they saved onto a compact disc as evidence.

A record check returned negative on all other individuals detained inside the home.  They were issued Certificate of Releases and released at the scene.

At Ingleside station, the suspect was mirandized and spoke vaguely with the officers.  The warrant was confirmed and he was booked into custody by Sgt. Alvarez.  Officer Hurwitz conducted a presumptive test of the narcotics which returned positive.  The narcotics were hand carried to the Hall of Justice and placed in the Narcotics Drop Box.  Report Number 120209641
