Arrests:

1:21pm       1000 Blk Potrero          Firearm
Officers Campos and Burke assisted Sgt. Alvarez regarding an individual in violation of probation.  The officers observed the suspect enter a maroon vehicle and drive off.  He failed to stop at an arterial stop sign and they affected a traffic stop.  The driver of the vehicle admitted he was on probation and the officers asked him to exit the vehicle.  A probation search of his person located a baggie containing a green leafy substance believed to be marijuana.  He was placed in handcuffs and in the back of a patrol vehicle pending further investigation.

The officers made contact with the passenger, who they identified by his California Identification Card.  His identification contained the same name of the individual they were searching for.  He admitted to being on probation, and a record check returned that he was on active probation and had an active warrant.  A probation search was later conducted of his residence.  The search located a firearm and a scale.  Both men were transported to Ingleside station.  The driver was cited and released for the violation and the passenger was booked into custody for violation of probation and firearms possession.  The officers took pictures of the evidence and booked all evidence at Ingleside station.  They hand carried the narcotics to the Narcotics Drop Box at the Hall of Justice.  Report Number 120089857
